Abstract: A flow imaging and monitoring system for synchronized management of wide area drainage that includes an interposer for supporting monitoring and management equipment in a manhole, a module for illuminating water flowing in pipes at the base of the manhole, a module for monitoring responses to reflected light, a sealed and rechargeable battery pack, and a data analysis and management system to interpret data streams in real time. The interposer can be adjusted to fit the diameter of the manhole and can be adjusted to be placed under the manhole cover. The module for illuminating the flowing water can be adjusted to generate various frequencies. The support structures for the modules can be adjusted for varying pitch, roll and yaw with respect to the manhole. The data analysis and management system is supported by cloud computing.

Abstract: Machine for emptying, washing and sanitizing of the portable tanks used in the toilets of recreational vehicles (for example, campers, motor homes, caravans and boats), characterized by a structure widi sliding door, in which the tank is inserted; the machine comprises sensors capable of detecting the type of the tank inserted. The washing procedure starts by rotating the pour-out spout, unscrewing the lid and lifting the tank into a vertical position, thus emptying it into the drainage system. A coupling mask then automatically slides open the lid and opens all the valves and sealing plugs. A lance then injects water and detergent at high pressure inside the tank, thus washing inside. The machine then washes the outside of the tank and of the cap of the same, filling it widi sanitizing liquids, drying and re-delivering it to the user through its completely automated, electronically-controlled method thus guaranteeing hygiene and safety. The machine provides for direct connection to the sewerage system or to a collecting tank and backup systems for electricity and water supplies.

Abstract: One embodiment of a spiral tube base that has an outer covering of a geogrid material or a geotextile material. The spiral tube base is typically made of a hard, durable material, such as PVC pipe, so that it can be buried within the earth and can be used in a variety of areas and soil conditions. Geogrid material or fiberglass grid material is wrapped around the outside of the spiral tube. The geogrid material and the spiral ribs allow liquids or effluent to gather within the tube, while the geogrid openings and the spiral openings of the tube allow effluent to move from within the tube into the surrounding soil. One opening of the spiral tube base can be covered with an inlet plate that holds an intake-pipe cap and provides an entrance for a pipe from a septic tank. A distal opening of a leaching tube or the distal opening in a continuous line of leaching tubes that are connected together can be covered with an end plate. Other embodiments are described.

Abstract: A fence valve to catch material introduced into a pipe includes a housing defining a chamber and a catch plate disposed within the chamber that is movable with respect to the housing. The catch plate includes at least one magnetic region.
