Abstract:
A head for a water filter system having a filter element including a three-way valve member movable between a first position, a second position, and a third position. When the valve member is in the first position, incoming water is directed to the filter element to remove sediment and impurities from the water. When the valve member is in the second position, the incoming water is blocked from passing through the filter element and the valve member. Lastly, when the valve member is in the third position, the incoming water passes through the valve member and not the filter element so that the filter element can be removed and replaced without interrupting the incoming water flow.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a handle or shroud for carrying or manipulating portable gas cylinders and gas cylinder valves for the administration of medical gases, such as oxygen. The shroud of the present invention provides improved safety and versatility to the handling process of such cylinders and valves. In one embodiment, the handle or shroud allows an individual to lift the cylinder, valve and shroud from about 26″ off the ground or floor with the wrist turned up.
Abstract:
A multiple flow sink counter-top water sprayer and filter system includes a selectably by-passable filter cartridge. The system includes a housing having an upstream portion and a downstream portion, defining, through these portions, channels for the flow of water. An inlet to the upstream portion permits flow of water into the channels, and respective outlets in the downstream portion of the housing discharges respective flows of water from the channels. Also provided is an annular water-purifying cartridge having a tubular shell including concentric interior and exterior walls to contain a filter material, the cartridge including an axial bore running lengthwise of the cartridge and the exterior wall of the cartridge secured within the upstream portion at a radial offset from an interior surface of the upstream portion of the housing to establish an annular path of flow which by-passes the cartridge. The system selectably blocks an outlet of the annular path of flow about the cartridge, where water within the path is confined in forcing it through the cartridge, into the axial bore, and through an outlet of the bore into the downstream portion of the housing, and in turn to a stream spout outlet of filtered water of the sprayer.
Abstract:
A water filter system including a base configured for receiving water from a faucet and a filter cartridge seated in the base. The filter cartridge defines a first chamber having at least one filter element, and a second chamber in fluid communication with the first chamber. An enhancement cartridge is removably inserted in the second chamber and includes an enhancement material for adding minerals to the water. The enhancement cartridge is removable from the system separate from the filter cartridge.
Abstract:
A water filter system including a filter housing having a filter element for filtering impurities from water and a ventilation stack movably connected to the filter housing for adjusting a position of the stack relative to a level of the water to release air from the water trapped by the filter element during filtration.

Abstract:
A filter assembly includes a head housing having a water inlet and a water outlet, and a valve disposed in the housing and defining inlet and outlet passageways, and having a first key formation. A cartridge is provided having separate inlet and outlet ports each engageable in a corresponding one of the passageways, and a complementary key formation for engaging the first key formation for ensuring proper engagement of the ports in the passageways. The valve is rotatable in the housing between an open position in which feed water passes through the inlet passageway and into the cartridge, and treated water flows to the outlet passageway, and a closed position in which water is prevented from flowing to and from the valve. The inlet and outlet passageways and the first key formation are generally linearly aligned.
