Abstract: A wearable surround sound system, that includes: (a) a processor, adapted to receive input signals representative of requested audio signals to be heard by the user and in response to generate multiple output signals; and (b) multiple bone conduction speakers, coupled to the processor, adapted to convey the multiple output signals to at least one bone of a user; wherein the bone conduction speakers are arrayed so as to stimulate an encompassing sound perception of the use. A wearable ambient sound reduction system, that includes: (a) a microphone, adapted to detect an ambient sound signal; (b) a processor adapted to generate an output signal in response to the ambient sound signal; wherein the output signal, when conveyed to a bone of the user, reduces an affect that an ambient sound signal has upon the user; wherein the microphone is coupled to the processor; and (c) a bone conduction speaker, coupled to the processor, adapted to convey the output signal to a bone of a user.

Abstract: A method and system for billing and paying friends on a social network is described. A monetary transfer module generates an invoice for sharing an expense with at least one friend on a social network. The monetary transfer module identifies users on the social network. The monetary transfer module generates a group that includes the users based at least in part on at least one common feature between the users. At least one of the users included in the group incurs an expense. The monetary transfer module generates an invoice for paying for the expense. The monetary transfer module sends a notification to at least one of the users that includes the invoice.

Abstract: An electronic learning system that utilizes a plurality of coded cards on which sensory-information representations are provided to present pictorial-symbol information and/or language-symbol information, in conjunction with a housing that contains card slots in combination with a visually and functionally distinctive button associated with each individual card slot and a button associated in an equal manner to all card slots, wherein a card may be inserted in each of the card slots. The operator can cause the system to generate unique audible information associated with the sensory-information representation provided on any selected card by pressing the visually and functionally distinctive button associated with the card slot in which the card is inserted. The operator can also cause the system to generate, automatically and sequentially, unique audible information associated with the sensory-information representation provided on each inserted card and, depending on the type of cards installed, perform secondary functions as the individual cards are being accessed, such as, mathematical computations, pattern recognition, and spelling accuracy by pressing the visually and functionally distinctive button associated in an equal manner with all card slots, after which automatic tertiary functions take place such as the accuracy of the result of mathematical computations are accessed and an audible message is generated; an audible message equivalent to the combination of the installed cards is generated; and the accuracy of the spelling of words formed by individual cards is determined and an audible message is generated.
