    摘要: Weed seeds are destroyed in the chaff from a combine harvester by repeated high speed impacts caused by a rotor mounted in one of a pair of side by side housings which accelerate the discarded seeds in a direction centrifugally away from the rotor onto a stator including angularly adjustable stator surfaces around the axis. Thus the discarded seeds rebound back and forth between the rotor and the stator to provide a plurality of impacts. The seeds are carried axially of the rotor by a controlled airstream so that they move to an axial discharge location where a discharge fan is mounted. The angle of the discharge around the rotor axis can be changed to direct the seeds to the side of the combine away from a straw chopper, towards the guide fins of the tailboard of the chopper, or into the housing of the straw chopper.

    摘要: A straw chopper for a combine includes a rotor mounted in a housing with blades on a rotor for chopping the discharge material onto a material spreading assembly. The rotor is driven by a drive transmission from an output drive shaft of the drive system of the combine harvester including first a right angle gear box connected to the drive shaft, a second right angle gear box connected to the rotor and a single drive shaft communicating drive from the first gear box to the second gear box. One end of the rotor is supported by a shaft of the second gearbox carried on the combine housing. An adjustment is provided at the output shaft or at a gearbox to remotely from the cab adjust the speed of the rotor. The drive transmission includes a cogged timing belt for positive drive for increased power.

    摘要: A straw chopper is mounted at the rear hood of a combine harvester and includes a housing with a feed opening and a discharge opening and a rotor mounted in the housing comprising a hub with a plurality of blades mounted on the hub for chopping the fed materials and accelerating the chopped materials for discharge. A tailboard has a plurality of guide fins arranged relative to the housing so as to receive the chopped materials from the discharge opening to engage onto a guide surface and guide fins of the tailboard construction for spreading of the chopped materials to the sides. On each side of the tailboard an outermost one of the guide fins has a first fin portion extending downwardly from the bottom surface to an lowermost edge, a second fin portion inclined from the lowermost edge downwardly and toward the contact side of the fin and a third fin portion inclined from the second portion to the concave side and toward the bottom surface.

    摘要: A combine harvester has a straw chopper attached to a rear hood behind the rear edge of the sieve assembly with a chaff guide system to bypass the chaff in front of the chopper and a straw guide system to bypass the straw above the chopper and over the tailboard. The chopper has a housing with a feed opening into which straw and/or chaff can be fed depending upon the positions of the chaff guide system and the straw guide system. A chopping assembly mounted in the housing discharges through a discharge opening through onto the tailboard having a plurality of guide fins for spreading. The housing bottom wall has a pivotal adjustment portion to allow chaff entering the feed opening and engaging the chopping assembly to discharge from the housing at a discharge position different from the discharge opening for spreading with supplementary spreading fins.

    摘要: A combine harvester with a straw separating system includes a straw chopper and discharge assembly mounted for receiving the straw and having a rotor for chopping the straw and for generating a stream of chopped straw for spreading the chopped straw. A pneumatic air source is provided preferably separately driven from and remote from the rotor for generating a stream of air having an outlet duct forming a stream of air. The air is used either to assist the spreading action from the chopper and can be individually controlled by valves. If used to assist the air stream of the chopper it is fed at the outlet of a rear chopper or directed at the guide wall in an internal chopper arrangement for directing higher velocity air onto the guide fins assisting the spread of the chopped materials.

    摘要: The inductor assembly of the present invention is configured with an agricultural implement to enhance conveyance of product from a storage hopper to a remote location. The inductor assembly includes an inductor chamber that defines an interior cavity configured to receive the supply of product from the storage hopper, an inlet tube configured to direct the stream of pressurized air so as to generate a combined stream of pressurized air and product, and an outlet tube configured to pass the combined stream of pressurized air and product from the inductor chamber to a distribution system application of the product in an agricultural environment. The improved inductor assembly can further include a selectively extendable outlet tube assembly, a trajectory control assembly coupled to the inlet tube, and an adjustable cover assembly configured to regulate agitation of the product and to purge deposits downstream of the inductor assembly.

    摘要: A nurse distribution system provides dual capabilities for planting different seed varieties from a single planting mechanism. The air cart carries two tanks in which different seed varieties can be placed. The nurse mechanism selectively distributes seed from one tank to the on-row singulation meters, yet can switch to the seed in the second tank to correspond to different soil conditions encountered by the planting mechanism. The planting mechanism carries a first line from the first tank to the nurse receiver and a parallel second line from the second tank to the same nurse receiver. By keeping the nurse receiver as small as possible, thus having a small seed reservoir, the seed variety selection can be switched from one tank to the other in an effective manner.
