Abstract:
A system and method of better alarm management is provided. The method includes importing a floor map of a monitored area onto a workstation, configuring the floor map, and generating an optimal guidance route map on the floor map. The optimal guidance route map provides a user with at least one route from the workstation to a designated device in the monitored area.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for processing video. The method includes the steps of a security system providing video of a secured area, a security person monitoring the provided video, the security person superimposing markings onto one or more frames of the monitored video through a display of the monitored video and the security system saving one or more video frames and markings within a set of respective files of a memory device where the video frames occupy a first file of the set of respective files and the markings occupy a second file of the set of files, where the first and second files are different and where the markings are related to the corresponding one or more video frames via a cross reference.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided. The method includes the steps of detecting a plurality of events within a secured area detected by respective sensors that have been activated within a predetermined time period of one another, wherein at least one of the plurality of events is an alarm event, ordering the plurality of events based upon a reporting time of each of the plurality of events, and displaying a map showing the respective sensors that have been activated within a predetermined time period of one another within the secured area along with a potential route of an intruder traveling among locations of the respective sensors that have been activated within a predetermined time period of one another in accordance with the reporting time of each of the plurality of events.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for annotating a display of a video data stream with customized information are provided. Methods include selecting a video data stream, creating a video graphic help file (VGH file) associated with the video data stream, a data capture device associated with the video data stream, a monitored area captured by the data capture device associated with the video data stream, or a salvo view, adding customized information to the VGH file, determining a need to access the VGH file, recalling the VGH file, and displaying customized information in the VGH file.

Abstract:
Systems and methods to create, display, and play self-explanatory video data streams for use in video surveillance are provided. Methods include displaying and playing an incident video data stream in a primary video panel on a viewing screen, and displaying and playing at least one playback session of the incident video data stream in at least one secondary video panel on the viewing screen. The at least one playback session corresponds to at least one marked key moment in the incident video data stream, and the at least one playback session is played in the at least one secondary video panel at a time corresponding to when the at least one marked key moment in the incident video data stream is being playing in the primary video panel.
