Abstract: An exemplary form of mobile agricultural equipment generally includes a main frame, a wing frame, and a hinge mechanism. The main frame defines a track, and the wing frame has a roller rotatably mounted thereon. The hinge mechanism movably couples the main frame with the wing frame such that the wing frame is movable relative to the main frame between a first orientation and a second orientation. The hinge mechanism generally includes a sub-hinge plate pivotably coupled with the main frame, a first link pivotably coupled to each of the wing frame and the sub-hinge plate, and a second link pivotably coupled to each of the wing frame and the sub-hinge plate. The roller is configured to travel along the track during a portion of a movement of the wing frame between the first orientation and the second orientation to thereby provide support for the wing frame

Abstract: An exemplary diverter valve generally includes a shell, a pipe, and a handle. The shell includes a body extending in a longitudinal direction, a shell inlet port, a shell outlet port, and a positioning slot formed in the body. The pipe is seated in the body for sliding movement in the longitudinal direction, and includes a first passage and a second passage. The handle is connected to the pipe through the positioning slot, and is operable to move the pipe relative to the shell between a first position in which the shell inlet port is connected with the shell outlet port via the first passage, and a second position in which the second passage is connected with the shell inlet port and the shell outlet port is disconnected from the second passage.

Abstract: A hinge for an agricultural machine having a center section having a first aperture, a wheel supporting the center section, a wing section connected to the center section and having a second aperture, and a hinge positioned between the center section and the wing section to permit the wing section to pivot about the center section. The hinge includes a pin which extends through the first and second apertures to connect the wing section to the center section. A first fastener engages the center section or the wing section and is adjacent to the first end of the pin to thereby retain the pin in the first and second apertures. A second fastener engages the center section or the wing section and is adjacent to the second end of the pin to thereby retain the pin in the first and second apertures.

Abstract: A residue detection and implement control system and method are disclosed for an agricultural implement. The system includes a source of environment data and image data of an imaged area of a crop field containing residue. The system includes a data store containing a plurality of image processing methods and at least one controller that processes the image data according to one or more image processing instruction sets. The controller selects one or more of the image processing methods based on the environment data, and processes the image data using the selected image processing instruction(s) to determine a value corresponding to residue coverage in the imaged area of the field. The controller adjusts the configuration of the agricultural implement to respond to the amount and type of residue detected.
