Abstract: A tractor includes an electronic tractor controller. A baler includes an electronic baler controller. The baler controller submits a halt signal to the tractor controller when a bale size is equal to or exceeds a first predetermined size. The baler controller generates a tractor halt signal in response to certain conditions of the baler system and the tractor controller preventing tractor motion in response to the halt signal. When the baler controller is generating the halt signal, tractor motion is enabled if the operator commands the tractor to move by manipulating the command device, and within a certain time period of said command being issued, the baler controller generates a tractor motion enabling signal in response a status of the baler system. When the baler controller is generating the halt signal, tractor motion is enabled if the operator moves the tractor command device in a special manner.

Abstract: An agricultural material application machine includes a material reservoir, a controllable valve, a pump that pumps material from the material reservoir to the controllable valve, an image sensor that captures in image of a portion of the worksite ahead of the controllable valve, and a light sensor that detects ambient lighting conditions at the worksite and generates sensor data indicative of the ambient lighting conditions. The machine further includes one or more processors and memory storing instructions executable by the one or more processors. The instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to adjust the image based on the sensor data indicative of the ambient lighting conditions to generate an adjusted image of the portion of the worksite ahead of the controllable valve and to control the controllable valve based on the adjusted image.

Abstract: Methods and systems for generating a worksite map that indicates locations of characteristics and items in the field includes operating a mobile machine outfitted with a position sensor system and a multi-spectral observation sensor system in a non-plants of interest area, such as a headland or a road. Determining the locations of characteristics and items in the worksite, and external to the mobile machine, based on the sensor data generated by the multi-spectral observation sensor system and the position sensor system while the mobile machine is in the non-plants of interest area. Generating the map of the worksite that indicates the characteristics and items at their respective locations in the worksite. In some examples, the method can further include generating a control output based on the map of the worksite.
