摘要： A solar cell array includes a series of photovoltaic cells having a front side and a back side. Each photovoltaic cell also includes front contacts and back contacts disposed on the front side and back side of each cell respectively, wherein the front contacts and the back contacts are accessible from the back side of each cell. The solar cell array also includes multiple tabs electrically coupled to the front contacts and configured to provide electrical paths from the front contacts to the back side of each photovoltaic cell. Further, the photovoltaic cells are interconnected by multiple interconnect leads that are coupled from a tab on the back side of a first photovoltaic cell to a back contact point on the back side of a second photovoltaic cell. An automated method of interconnecting the photovoltaic cells in the solar cell array is also disclosed.

The location-determining device is configured to determine a position of the transport assembly with respect to a storage receptacle. A control mechanism is coupled to the transport storage receptacle, and the control mechanism is configured to control dispersal of the granular material. An electronic device is operatively coupled to the control mechanism. The electronic device is configured to allow dispersal of the granular material from the transport storage receptacle when the transport assembly is correctly positioned with respect to the storage receptacle.

Advantageously low resolution thermal imagers are used so as to minimise intrusiveness and invasion of privacy.

摘要： A system for monitoring the motion of objects is configured to identify objects meeting predetermined criteria appearing in a scene and to track the motion of identified objects across the scene. In a particular embodiment the system is configured to compile statistical data for multiple points or regions to indicate one or both of: the frequency with which objects are initialised at that region or point; and the frequency with which initialised objects cross the region or point. The initialisation data will indicate the areas in the scene where objects are most frequently initialised. If the statistical data shows an area of the scene in which objects are never initialised this might indicate that there is an obstruction between objects that need to be tracked and the detector. The path data will indicate the paths most frequently followed by objects. If there is a particularly well trodden path to and fro in a particular part of the scene this might distort the result of a count of people entering and leaving a region in the scene.
