    摘要: An electrostatographic reproduction apparatus comprising: a primary imaging member for forming a toner image, a fuser assembly containing a fusing member and a pressure member for fixing the toner image to a receiver, a release oil device for delivering release oil to the fusing member of the fuser assembly, an intermediate transfer member for receiving the toner image from the primary imaging member, and a receiver transport member for transporting the toner image from the intermediate transfer member to the fuser assembly. The receiver transport member has a surface energy from about 14 ergs/cm2 to about 35 ergs/cm2. The apparatus further includes a cleaning device that is associated with the receiver transport member and includes a fabric material capable of removal of residual release oil from the receiver transport member.

    摘要: A method for forming a receiver transport member for an electrostatographic reproduction apparatus. The transport member transports receiver members with respect to a fuser assembly and is frictional coupled to a transfer member for driving the transfer member. The method for forming the transport member provides a substrate bearing a high friction layer that includes inorganic particles, with a compound of aluminum selected from the group consisting of aluminum hydroxide, alumina hydrate, aluminum oxide, pseudo-boehmite, boehmite alumina, aluminum salts, and mixtures thereof, dispersed in an organic binder so that the high friction layer is capable of preventing a loss of frictional coupling due to release oil applied to a receiver member bearing a fused toner image.

    摘要: A method of producing a custom color particulate toner for use in a two-component developer by mixing two or more component color toners. The component color toners are each surface treated with a blend of two or more types of silica particles, which differ in the functional groups appended to them. The silica blend for each component color toner is chosen so that, when the component color toners are mixed together to form the custom color mixture, they will all tribocharge to the same charge-to-mass ratio when mixed with a carrier to form a developer.
