    摘要： Disclosed is a process for producing a zinc pyrithione product having an acceptable white or off-white color and containing substantially no undesired 2-hydroxypyridine-N-oxide or metal salt complexes thereof, by(1) making sodium pyrithione by reacting a 2-halopyridine-N-oxide with sodium hydrosulfide and sodium carbonate (or a mixture of sodium carbonate and sodium hydroxide) under selected addition temperatures and reaction temperatures and in selected mole ratios; followed by(2) making zinc pyrithione by reacting the sodium pyrithione with a zinc salt.

    摘要： Powder coating formulations include as a component thereof a silane formula I: where R1 is a hydrocarbon, acyl, alkylsilyl or alkoxysilyl group; R2 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group; R3 is alkylene, optionally interrupted with one or more ether oxygen atoms; a is 0 or 1; Z is a direct bond or a divalent organic linking group; X is an m-valent organic group or H; and m is 1-20. The silanes are useful as crosslinkers, property modifiers and/or adhesion promoters. Powder adhesives may be similarly formed with silanes of formula I.

    摘要： The present invention relates to a composition being an aqueous dispersion of a polyurethane in water, said composition comprising water and the reaction product of (a) a water-dispersible isocyanate-terminated polyurethane prepolymer having an isocyanate content of between 1 and 15% by weight. The prepolymer comprises the following: an organic polyisocyanate adduct mixture having an average isocyanate functionality of between 2.0 and 4.0, and (b) an isocyanate reactive chain extender having a specified ratio of isocyanate reactive moiety to isocyanate index of the polyisocyanate adduct mixture. The polyisocyanate mixture must contain some dimer; however, other polyisocyanates, such as diisocyanates and polyisocyanate trimers, are advantageously added to the mixture. Also disclosed is a process for preparing this composition, and a method for coating a substrate with the composition.
