摘要： Under the present invention, a request for a composite service is received from a customer. Based on the request, a delivery task list including one or more tasks required to fulfill the request is defined. The tasks are each then assigned to a service provider for performance, and a schedule for their performance is determined. As the tasks are being performed, a tracking a status thereof is tracked. Once the tasks have been completed, the customer is notified, surveyed and/or invoiced.

摘要： A ribbon loading system for a printer of the kind having a moveable printhead carrier establishes a ribbon loading position for the carrier at one end of the carrier travel axis. In response to an operator initiation, the printhead carrier is driven to the loading position where the ribbon cartridge is operator mounted at a fixture adjacent the printhead. The cartridge includes a path defining section that extends to arrange a loop of ribbon around the distal side of the printhead, effectively threading the ribbon. Subsequent carrier movement is selectively coupled to the ribbon to provide ribbon drive motion.For a preferred cartridge implementation, the path defining section is detachable to travel with the printhead carrier and includes ribbon guides for defining at least a portion of the ribbon path around the printhead during printing. The preferred detachable section is held to a bulk ribbon supply section of the cartridge by a catch which is automatically released by mounting the cartridge. For the mounting and removal operations, which involve the operator, the preferred two section cartridge is connected for convenient handling as a unit.

摘要： A wire matrix print head has a first group of wires activated by a first group of electromagnetic means disposed on the circumference of a circle and substantially equally angularly spaced from each other. A second group of print wires is activated by a second group of electromagnetic means disposed on the circumference of a circle with each of the electromagnetic means of the second group having its longitudinal axis out of alignment with the longitudinal axis of each of the electromagnetic means of the first group. The print head includes guide means to transform the two groups of wires, which have their ends remote from the ends causing printing disposed on the circumferences of two circles, into a row and column matrix for causing printing.
