    摘要: Compositions and methods are provided for reducing, inhibiting, or preventing corrosion of a surface, the method comprising contacting an anticorrosion compound of Formula 1 with the surface, the anticorrosion compound of Formula 1 having a structure corresponding to:




    wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, and R5 are independently selected from hydrogen, hydroxyl, alkyl, alkoxyl, aryl, alkaryl, aralkyl, and —NR8R9; R6 and R7 are independently hydrogen, a substituted alkyl, substituted alkenyl, substituted aryl, substituted alkaryl, or substituted aralkyl, wherein at least one substituent is a hydroxyl or an ether; provided that at least one of R6 and R7 is other than hydrogen; R8 and R9 are independently hydrogen, unsubstituted alkyl, unsubstituted alkenyl, unsubstituted aryl, unsubstituted alkaryl, unsubstituted aralkyl, substituted alkyl, substituted alkenyl, or substituted alkaryl, wherein at least one substituent is a hydroxyl or an ether; or any two adjacent groups of R1, R2, R3, R4, and R5 form one or more ring structures.

    摘要: Disclosed are oleyl propylenediamine-based compounds used in compositions and methods for inhibiting corrosion. The method comprises introducing into a fluid source a composition comprising one or more oleyl propylenediamine-based compounds comprising Formula I: wherein Y1, Y2, and Y3 independently are hydrogen or a substituent of Formula (II): wherein V is —O— or —NH—, W is optionally present and is a linear or branched C1-10 aliphatic group, X is —H, —NZ3+, —COOH, —SO3H, —OSO3H2, —PO3H, —OPO3H2, or a salt thereof, each Z independently is hydrogen or a linear or branched C1-20 aliphatic group optionally interrupted or substituted with one or more oxygen atoms, and R is hydrogen or methyl, provided that at least one of Y1, Y2, or Y3 is a substituent of Formula (II).

    摘要: A polymer composition has been developed that provides low viscosity oil-in-water polymer emulsions that release the polymer in the emulsion at a faster rate and without an additional surfactant when the emulsion is added to a hydrocarbon stream. Use of a temperature-sensitive emulsifying surfactant facilitates inversion of the oil-in-water polymer emulsion when applied to a hydrocarbon composition at a temperature sufficiently high to destabilize the emulsion. These compositions are particularly useful as drag reducers for delivery to a subsea flowline via an umbilical line.
