Abstract:
A method of removing food soils from a recirculated washing solution includes adding a flocculating agent to the recirculated washing solution and separating the particulates from the recirculated washing solution using a hydrocyclone. The flocculating agent causes a portion of the food soils to combine into particulates having a higher density.
Abstract:
A solid controlled release composition according to the present invention includes at least one cellulosic material, water, at least one active ingredient, and optionally at least one of a saccharide, sugar alcohol or salt. The active ingredient can be a polycarboxylic acid.
Abstract:
A solidification matrix includes sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate, a water charge, an anhydrous metasilicate, a polycarboxylic acid polymer or salt or derivative thereof, and additional functional ingredients. The sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate, a water charge, an anhydrous metasilicate, a polycarboxylic acid polymer, and additional functional ingredients interact to form a hydrate solid. The solidification matrix may be used, for example, in a solid detergent composition. Methods of making solid detergent compositions are disclosed.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to shelf stable and/or less corrosive peroxycarboxylic acid antimicrobial compositions, including ready-to-use compositions. Shelf stable compositions can include defined ratios of hydrogen peroxide to peroxycarboxylic acid and/or hydrogen peroxide to protonated carboxylic acid, but need not include strong acid. Reduced corrosion compositions can include carboxylic acid and corrosion inhibitor at acid pH. Compositions of the invention can have advantageous activity against spores.
Abstract:
A cleaning composition includes a carboxymethyl carbohydrate polymer, sodium carbonate, and water. The carboxymethyl carbohydrate polymer, sodium carbonate, and water interact to form a hydrate solid. The solid cleaning composition exhibits little or no swelling even when heated to temperatures up to 120° C.
