An apparatus and method for outputting an image according to text input in real time are provided. The apparatus for outputting an image in real time includes: a text receiving unit configured to extract unit text from input text; a syntax analyzing unit configured to analyze syntax of the unit text to generate state information corresponding to the unit text; a text reference database (DB) matching unit configured to search a reference DB to generate an image corresponding to the state information; a change necessity determining unit configured to determine whether an image corresponding to previous unit text needs to be changed; and an output unit configured to generate an output image by using any one or more of the image corresponding to the state information and the image corresponding to the previous unit text according to the necessity for the change.
Abstract:
Provided are a transmitting and receiving system for non-realtime based digital realistic broadcasting, and a method thereof. The transmitting system includes a broadcasting TS generator for generating a 2-D TS for a 2-D image and an auxiliary TS for auxiliary information necessary for realistic broadcasting of the 2-D image, and a transmitter for transmitting the generated auxiliary transport stream before a corresponding broadcasting time and transmitting the generated 2-D transport stream according to a corresponding broadcasting schedule.

Disclosed herein is an apparatus and method for detecting a person from an input video image with high reliability by using gradient-based feature vectors and a neural network. The human detection apparatus includes an image preprocessing unit for modeling a background image from an input image. A moving object area setting unit sets a moving object area in which motion is present by obtaining a difference between the input image and the background image. A human region detection unit extracts gradient-based feature vectors for a whole body and an upper body from the moving object area, and detects a human region in which a person is present by using the gradient-based feature vectors for the whole body and the upper body as input of a neural network classifier. A decision unit decides whether an object in the detected human region is a person or a non-person.

Provided is a system and method for transmitting and receiving 3D video based on digital broadcasting. The system includes: an encoder for generating 2D ES and 3D supplementary ES by encoding 2D video and 3D supplementary data; a packetizer for generating 2D video PES and 3D supplementary PES by packetizing the 2D video ES and the 3D supplementary ES; a PSI generator for generating a PSI; a TS generator for generating 2D video TS and 3D supplementary TS for the 2D video PES and the 3D supplementary PES; a multiplexer for multiplexing the transport streams to transmit the 2D video TS as a normal stream and transmit the 3D supplementary TS, the PSI TS and 3D video synch data TS as robust stream; and a modulator for modulating the multiplexed TS according to a DTV specification and transmitting the modulated TS.

An apparatus and a method for managing a reflecting plate for a fruit tree are disclosed. The apparatus for managing a reflecting plate for a fruit tree includes: a solar sensor configured to sense the amount of sunlight; a fruit-tree database configured to store therein types and locations of fruit trees grown in a growing area; a wireless communication unit configured to perform communications with a robot for moving a reflecting plate for a fruit tree and with the reflecting plate via a wireless communication network; and a central processing unit configured to control the robot so that it installs the reflecting plate in the growing area and to control a reflection angle at which the sunlight is reflected in the reflecting plate, based on at least one of the amount of sunlight, the types and locations.

Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for recognizing a human in an image. The apparatus includes a learning unit and a human recognition unit. The learning unit calculates a boundary value between a human and a non-human based on feature candidates extracted from a learning image, detects a feature candidate for which an error is minimized as the learning image is divided into the human and the non-human using the calculated boundary value, and determines the detected feature candidate to be a feature. The human recognition unit extracts a candidate image where a human may be present from an acquired image, and determines whether the candidate image corresponds to a human based on the feature that is determined by the learning unit.

Disclosed herein is an apparatus and method for controlling a power generation type solar shutter, including: storing a control condition and an operation corresponding to the control condition; detecting that an event occurs; and if the event satisfies the control condition, controlling the solar shutter that performs a charging function for a vehicle based on the operation corresponding to the control condition, wherein the control condition includes at least one selected from the group consisting of: humidity, rain, snow, light, a driving state, the remaining battery charge, seasons, latitude, and a usage level of a heater and/or an air conditioner.
