摘要: Techniques for storage management involve determining, in response to a detection that a disk changes from an unavailable state to an available state, at least one candidate storage unit associated with the disk; acquiring historical access information about the at least one candidate storage unit, the historical information comprising information related to a write request directed to the at least one candidate storage unit when the disk is in the unavailable state; determining a target storage unit from the at least one candidate storage unit based on the historical access information; and rebuilding the target storage unit. Such techniques may, in a low-cost manner, improve rebuilding efficiency and reliability of a storage system.

摘要: A method, computer program product, and computing system for executing a plurality of IO traces on a storage system. At least one vertical flow and at least one horizontal flow associated with the at least one vertical flow may be defined for the plurality of IO traces. A hierarchical representation of the plurality of IO traces may be generated with the at least one vertical flow and the at least one horizontal flow associated with the at least one vertical flow defined for the plurality of IO traces.

摘要: A technique for managing a datapath of a data storage system includes receiving a request to access target data and creating a transaction that includes multiple datapath elements in a cache, where the datapath elements are used for accessing the target data. In response to detecting that one of the datapath elements is invalid, the technique further includes processing the transaction in a rescue mode. The rescue mode attempts to replace each invalid datapath element of the transaction with a valid version thereof obtained from elsewhere in the data storage system. The technique further includes committing the transaction as processed in the rescue mode.

摘要: Techniques provide for managing storage devices. Such techniques involve: combining storage devices in a redundant array of independent disks into a group of storage devices in an order of physical capacities of the storage devices; determining a first number of sets of storage devices based on a number of storage devices in the group and a threshold number of storage devices to be divided into each of the sets; and dividing, based on a configuration of the redundant array of independent disks, the group of storage devices into the first number of sets of storage devices, to optimize an effective capacity of the redundant array of independent disks.

摘要: Technology is disclosed for recovering the consistency of a RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) metadata database when data corruption is detected in the RAID metadata database. The RAID metadata database includes super sectors, stage sectors, and a data region. Valid data within the data region is a contiguous set of sectors extending from a head sector to a tail sector. In response to data corruption in one of the two super sectors, a set of pointers contained in the other super sector is used to identify the head sector and tail sector. In response to data corruption in both super sectors, the head sector and tail sector are located based on the contents of the sectors in the data region. Techniques are also disclosed for recovering consistency when the data corruption occurs in the stage sectors and/or data region.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method, an electronic device, and a computer program product for data compression. The method includes: comparing the size of a first data packet to be compressed with a first threshold size; if the size of the first data packet is greater than the first threshold size, determining at least two second data packets from the first data packet, wherein the size of each second data packet is less than a second threshold size; and respectively compressing the at least two second data packets. In this way, the delay of data compression can be shortened.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method, an electronic device, and a computer program product for managing a storage system. The method includes: determining, at a first device of the storage system, whether a load of a first accelerator resource of the first device exceeds a load threshold; sending, if it is determined that the load exceeds the load threshold, a job processing request to a second device in a candidate device list to cause the second device to process a target job of the first device using a second accelerator resource of the second device, the candidate device list indicating devices in the storage system that can be used to assist the first device in job processing; receiving, from the second device, latency information related to remote processing latency of processing the target job using the second accelerator resource; and updating the candidate device list based on the latency information. The embodiments of the present disclosure can optimize the system performance.
