Abstract: Method for determining a refraction of at least an eye of a person under specific spectral conditions, the method including: an eye illumination step, during which the eye of the person is illuminated under the specific spectral conditions, the specific spectral conditions being provided by a polychromatic source having a spectrum which is different from the spectrum of a white light source and/or by a chromatic filter positioned before the eye of the person and illuminated by a source; and a refraction determination step during which the refraction of the eye of the person is determined under the specific spectral conditions.

Abstract: A method of analyzing a visual field of an individual comprises the following steps:—measuring (S4) a first visual field (VF1) of said individual for a first set of oculo-postural parameters of said individual when said individual performs a first task;—measuring (S6) at least one additional visual field (VFi) of said individual for one additional set of said oculo-postural parameters of said individual when said individual performs an additional task;—determining (S8) a functional visual space based on said first visual field (VF1) and said at least one additional visual field (VFi), said functional visual space being an envelope of said first visual field and said at least one additional visual field. The additional task differs from said first task and/or said additional set of oculo-postural parameters differs from said first set of oculo-postural parameters. A corresponding ophthalmic lens is also proposed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device (10) for assessing discomfort glare and/or disability glare of a subject, comprising: —at least one neuro-sensor (11) for detecting a neural signal linked to the sensitivity of the eyes of the subject, —a control unit (15) adapted to a) record the neural signal of the subject detected by the neuro-sensor while at least one eye of the subject receives a given light condition, b) provide a threshold neural signal that is characteristic of a shift for the subject from no-glare state to discomfort glare and/or disability glare, c) assess whether the neural signal recorded in step a) correlates with a discomfort glare and/or disability glare of the subject by comparing said neural signal recorded in step a) to said threshold neural signal provided in step b). The invention also relates to an eyeglass comprising said device, to a method for assessing discomfort glare and/or disability glare of a subject, and to a virtual reality headset comprising the device.

    CPC classification number: G02C7/104 G02C7/027

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for determining a filter for a visual equipment to be placed in front of the eye of a user to improve visual comfort and/or visual performance of the user, the method including: determining the spectral transmittance of an ocular media of an eye; and determining a filter based on the determined spectral transmittance of the ocular media so the filter has a spectral transmittance profile including: a first portion having a maximum transmittance value between 380 nm and a predetermined threshold, and a second portion with a decreasing transmittance value between the threshold and 670 nm. Also disclosed is a filter whose spectral transmittance is calculated based on the spectral transmittance of the user's ocular media, as well as a set of filters with each filter in the set having a spectral transmittance based on the spectral transmittance of the ocular media of users having different ages.
