Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and device for manufacturing an ophthalmic lens for eyeglasses intended to be placed in front of an eye of a wearer, the ophthalmic lens having a desired optical function including a dioptric function adapted to a prescription of the wearer. The method includes: providing an optical element made of a first material having a first refractive index, the optical element being intended to be modified to manufacture the ophthalmic lens; providing data relative to the modification of the optical element enabling to obtain the desired optical function; determining at least one zone in the first material based on data; and modifying the refractive index of the first material to form a pattern in the determined zone with focused femtosecond laser pulses according to data so as to obtain an ophthalmic lens having the desired optical function.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for determining an updated visual correction need for designing a new vision correcting device of an individual already having a previous vision correcting device previously designed to correct his/her vision, wherein, in a first step, a previous level of correction of the previous vision correcting device is acquired, in a second step, a current vision acuity parameter of the individual wearing the previous vision correcting device is assessed, and, in a third step, the updated visual correction need is determined based on the previous level of correction of the previous vision correcting device acquired in the first step and on the current vision acuity parameter assessed in the second step. A complementary visual correction need can also be determined.
Abstract:
Method for providing a referencing element to an optical lens member, the method comprising: an optical lens member providing step, during which an optical lens member is provided, the optical lens member comprising a first optical surface comprising a surface design associated with a first reference system and a second optical surface to be manufactured, the first and second optical surfaces are connected by an external periphery surface, a measuring step during which the first optical surface of the optical lens member is measured and the first reference system is determined, wherein the reference system is determined according to the shape and orientation of the first optical surface (11), a referencing step during which a referencing element is added to the optical lens member, wherein the referencing element identifies the first reference system.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for determining a parameter of an optical equipment including an optical lens including permanent markings and being mounted in a spectacle frame, including: positioning the optical equipment is before a pattern in a first position; positioning a portable electronic device including an image acquisition module in a second position so as to acquire an image showing together the pattern seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the optical equipment in the first position and at least part of the spectacle frame of the optical equipment in the first position; detecting the permanent marking on the optical lens using the image acquired by the image acquisition module of the portable electronic device in the second position; and determining at least one parameter of the optical equipment based on the position of the permanent marking.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for marking an optical article coated with an interference coating including at least two layers, an inner layer and an outer layer, and having reflection coefficient Re; by exposure of the inner layer, at a marking point, by way of a laser beam at a marking wavelength, in such a way as to ablate the inner layer and any layer further away from the substrate; the ablated area having a reflection coefficient Rm different from Re by at least 1%; the inner layer absorbing the marking wavelength to a greater degree than any layer further away from the substrate. Also disclosed is an optical article coated with an interference coating having at least two layers, an inner layer and an outer layer, the article including a marking pattern formed by local absence of layers.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for manufacturing an ophthalmic lens to be mounted in a frame, the ophthalmic lens including an optical front face, an optical rear face, and a peripheral edge that surrounds the optical front and rear faces and that has a base portion carrying a fixing unit suitable for attaching the ophthalmic lens to at least a part of the frame, the method includes the steps of: determining a central part of the ophthalmic lens that includes at least one of the optical front face and the optical rear face; determining the peripheral edge with the fixing unit; calculating a planned manufactured device including both the fixing unit and the central part together; and manufacturing, using an additive manufacturing technology, the planned manufactured device in order to form the ophthalmic lens.
Abstract:
A spectacle lens includes a substrate and an anti-reflection or mirror interference coating covering the substrate on the side of the front face, the interference coating forming a one-dimensional or two-dimensional bar code pattern, the marking being formed by a plurality of point holes on a portion of a thickness of the interference coating, the front face having, away from the point holes, a coefficient of reflection of light having a predetermined nominal value and, in each the point hole, a coefficient of reflection of light having a particular predetermined value that is different from the nominal value.
