Abstract:
This is a one piece molded raised second tier floor with lockable horizontal doors made for a pickup truck cargo bed. In particular, it is a one piece molded insert that increases the storage area of a crowded pickup truck cargo bed camper. It also, gives the user 100% access to the storage area below while increasing the sleeping area above.
Abstract:
An electro-water reactor steam powered electric generator system includes a steam boiler having water and steam chambers, a water intake pipe and a plurality of steam delivery pipes. An electric resistance heater is mounted under and around the boiler having power leads connected to an auxiliary power source. A plurality of independent steam turbines and connected electric generators are joined respectively to the steam delivery pipes. Most of the electric power delivery leads of the generators are adapted to deliver electric power for industrial and residential usage. At least one of the generator power leads is connected to the electric resistance heater elements. A steam return pipe connects each turbine with a condenser which includes a heat exchanger connected to the water intake pipe. Electric pumps and piping circulate water between the condenser and a body of water. An auxiliary electrical power source is connected to the heater elements.
Abstract:
A telephone disaster recovery process for quickly re-establishing long distance telephone service to a telephone LEC office after a telephone central office connected to the LEC office has been rendered inoperable by a disaster is described. The central office is located at a disaster site. The process operates by assessing the disaster and identifying elements of an on-site component needed to address the disaster. The elements of the on-site component are transported to the disaster site, and are mapped to corresponding elements of the inoperable central office. These elements of the on-site component are configured and interconnected according to the mapping to enable the on-site component to functionally emulate the inoperable central office. Then, the on-site component is connected to the LEC office, and is also connected to an off-site component using communication media in a long distance telephone network. The off-site component emulates switching functions of the inoperable central office, and has been previously connected to other telephone central offices via other communication media in the long distance telephone network. Finally, the on-site component and the off-site component are brought on line to thereby re-establish long distance telephone service to the LEC office.
Abstract:
An abrasive blasting system which includes an improved mixing and control valve assembly together with an improved manually operable discharge nozzle assembly. The mixing and control valve assembly comprises a housing defining first and second chambers connected by a generally circular opening. An abrasive particle inlet and an outlet are formed in the second chamber. A stem extends axially through the opening between the first and second chambers to define an open annular passageway through which pressure fluid supplied to the first chamber passes in a swirling motion to mix with the abrasive particles in the second chamber and impel them out the outlet. A valve member carried by the stem is arranged for selective engagement with the outlet to stop flow through the assembly. The discharge nozzle assembly includes means for controlling actuation of the mixing valve and is provided with a lever-type operating handle and an associated lever arranged to automatically assume a safety lock position and prevent inadvertent actuation of the operating handle.

Abstract:
Apparatus includes a mandible alignment device and a jaw pattern jig to prepare a one-piece metal dental implant for insertion into a patient's mouth. The alignment device has a central scissors member with a rear positioned thumb wheel controlling the longitudinal spread of the scissors blades. A front portion of a longitudinal angle adjustment member mounted over the scissors holds an anterior foot portion of a dental implant. A rod integral with the end of each scissors blade supports a housing holding a ramus member portion of a dental implant. After a pattern is determined by the alignment device, it is locked into the jaw pattern jig and the one-piece metal dental implant is bent to shape to substitute for the anterior foot and ramus members removed from the alignment device.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a shelf-support system comprising a plurality of bracket units, each integrally connected by corresponding plurality of crease-breakable, bracket-defining, parallel lines, each of said brackets having a 90.degree. angulation adapted for the support of shelving, cabinets, and other structures having horizontal surfaces.
