    摘要: There are provided: a method for forming a shining coating film which can form a coating film extremely excellent in a leveling property and a brightness with good workability and can also realize the reduction of environmental burden; and a coated article excellent in a design property obtained by this method. In a method comprising the steps of sequentially coating a shining material-containing solvent type first base coat coating, a shining material-containing solvent type second base coat coating and a top clear coating onto a base material and baking a formed multilayered coating film at the same time, an improvement is made so that the resin composition and coating nonvolatile concentration of the first and second base coat coatings and the amount of nonvolatiles in the first and second base coating films will have specific conditions.

    摘要: A water-based intermediate coating composition which contains a water-dispersible polyurethane composition is used. Here, the water-dispersible polyurethane composition is obtained from: a polyisocyanate component containing diisocyanate as an essential component; a polyol component containing polycarbonatediol with an average molecular weight of 500 to 5,000 and carboxyl group-containing diol as essential components; an amine component containing a monoamine compound as an essential component; a carboxyl group-neutralizing component; and water. A three-layered coating film including the water-based intermediate coating, a water-based base coating and a clear coating is formed through a wet-on-wet process on a material onto which an electrodeposited coating film is formed. Thereafter, the three coating films are baked and cured at the same time, thereby forming a multilayer coating film.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method of forming a composite coating film which makes it possible to attain both appearance and workability in a high-humidity environment. The method of forming a composite coating film according to the present invention comprises applying a water-based base coat composition on a substrate, and then a clear coat thereon, wherein said water-based base coat composition comprises a pigment and a resin emulsion obtained by emulsion polymerization of an &agr;, &bgr;-ethylenically unsaturated monomer mixture, said &agr;,&bgr;-ethylenically unsaturated monomer mixture having an acid value of 3 to 50 mg KOH/g and containing at least 65% by weight of a (meth)acrylic ester whose ester moiety contains 1 or 2 carbon atoms.

    摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide a method of forming a composite coating film having high flip-flop properties by applying a water-based base coat coating to a substrate, then applying a clear top coat coating thereonto and curing both coatings simultaneously while controlling the interlayer imbibing or inversion of coating films under high humidity conditions. The present invention provides a method of forming a composite coating film by applying a water-based base coat coating to a substrate and then applying a clear top coat coating thereonto, wherein the water-based base coat coating comprises: a polyether polyol having at least 0.02 primary hydroxyl group, on average, per molecule, a number average molecular weight of 300 to 3,000 and a water tolerance of not less than 2.0; and a resin emulsion obtained by emulsion polymerization of an &agr;, &bgr;-ethylenically unsaturated monomer mixture having an acid value of 3 to 50 and containing at least 65% by weight of a (meth)acrylate ester whose ester moiety contains 1 or 2 carbon atoms.
