Abstract: A method including: contacting a support material including absorbed water with trimethylaluminum (TMA) in an aliphatic hydrocarbon; removing the aliphatic hydrocarbon by distillation at a pressure greater than or equal to 0.5 atm; heating, at a temperature ranging from about 25° C. to about 200° C., a reaction product of the support material and the TMA in a presence of TMA, wherein the TMA includes TMA in an amount of about 2-10 mmol TMA per gram of the support material in excess of an amount that reacts with the support material absorbed with water; and removing excess TMA.

Abstract: Provided herein are methods of polymerizing α-olefin monomer with a catalyst and hydrogen in a slurry to produce low molecular weight polyolefins. Hydrogen is vented from the low molecular weight polyolefins and then the low molecular weight polyolefins are further polymerized in a gas phase to produce a polyolefin having a molecular weight distribution of between 4.0 and 30 and a flexural modulus between 1500 mPa and 2500 mPa.

Abstract: This invention relates to a catalyst system comprising fluorided silica, alkylalumoxane activator and at least two metallocene catalyst compounds, where the first metallocene is a bridged monocyclopentadienyl group 4 transition metal compound and the second metallocene is a biscyclopentadientyl group 4 transition metal compound, where the fluorided support has not been calcined at a temperature of 400° C. or more, and is preferably produced using a west mixing method, such as an aqueous method.
