Abstract: Treating waste with a system featuring a receiver tank having an inlet for receipt of waste into the system, means for connecting the receiver tank inlet to a source of the waste, at least one treatment tank connected downstream of the receiver tank for mechanical filtration of solid contaminants and adsorption of liquid contaminants contained in the waste. The treatment tank having a packed bed of adsorbent particles and means to aerate and fluidize the bed.
