Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing an aminolipid compound, in which a yield in a carbonate esterification reaction is improved, and an intermediate compound used in the method for manufacturing an aminolipid compound. According to the present invention, there is provided a compound represented by Formula [1] or a salt thereof. In the formula, R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, R2 represents a divalent hydrocarbon group having 2 to 12 carbon atoms, and R3 represents a hydrocarbon group having 6 to 22 carbon atoms.
