Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a microneedle array which is capable of suppressing aggregation of liposomes in a case where a water-soluble polymer is mixed with liposomes during production of the microneedle array and is capable of localizing a drug at a tip of a needle. According to the present invention, provided is a microneedle array including: a sheet; and a plurality of needles which are present on an upper surface of the sheet, in which each needle contains a water-soluble polymer, a drug, a liposome, and a salt, a zeta potential of the liposome is −10 mV or less, the zeta potential is a zeta potential of a liquid obtained by diluting the liposome to 0.1 mg/mL with 10 mmol/L of a phosphoric acid aqueous solution having a pH of 7, and a content of the salt in a portion of each needle which contains the liposome is 2.5 mmol/g or less.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a method of producing a microneedle array that enables concentration of a drug at needle tips of the microneedle array. According to the present invention, provided is a method of producing a microneedle array, including a step of filling a hydrophobic mold with a drug-containing solution to form a needle tip, and a step of filling the mold including the formed needle tip with a liquid which contains a water-soluble polymer or disaccharides to form a needle base and a sheet, in which the drug-containing solution contains 0.01 mg/mL to 5 mg/mL of a surfactant.
Abstract:
It is an object of the present invention to provide a Japanese encephalitis preventive agent and a Japanese encephalitis vaccine agent, which are capable of imparting sufficient immunity to humans, even if these agents are used at a lower dose than the dose of a Japanese encephalitis vaccine for subcutaneous injection, or at a smaller number of administrations than the number of administrations of a Japanese encephalitis vaccine for subcutaneous injection. According to the present invention, provided is a Japanese encephalitis preventive agent, comprising a microneedle array having a sheet portion and a plurality of needle portions present on the upper surface of the sheet portion, wherein the aforementioned needle portions contain or carry an inactivated Japanese encephalitis virus.
Abstract:
Provided is a microneedle. The microneedle array includes a needle portion, which contains an inactivated whole virion influenza vaccine, and a sheet portion. Also provided is an administration method in which the microneedle array is administered and then administered secondly after an interval of equal to or greater than 24 hours and less than 2 months.
Abstract:
It is an object of the present invention to provide a Japanese encephalitis vaccine-containing microneedle array capable of suppressing a reduction in the activity of the Japanese encephalitis vaccine upon the production of the microneedle array. According to the present invention, provided is a microneedle array having a sheet portion and a plurality of needle portions present on the upper surface of the sheet portion, wherein the needle portion comprises at least one of an electrically neutral water-soluble polymer and a disaccharide, a Japanese encephalitis vaccine, and an electrically neutral surfactant, and the sheet portion comprises at least one of an electrically neutral water-soluble polymer and a disaccharide.
