摘要： A storage system includes plural drive devices and a control device. Each of the plural drive devices reads or writes data from or to a portable recording medium. The control device performs a parallel process in which a first process and a second process are performed in parallel. The first process is to write specified data to a first portable recording medium via a first drive device of the plural drive devices. The second process is to write the specified data to a second portable recording medium via a second drive device of the plural drive devices. The control device cancels, upon completion of either one of the first process and the second process, the other one of the first process and the second process.

摘要： A storage system includes a storage apparatus, a control apparatus, and a host apparatus. The storage apparatus includes a recording medium. The control apparatus includes a detection unit and a control unit. The detection unit detects whether a recording medium loaded in the storage apparatus is a stand-alone-only recording medium that is used in a stand-alone mode. When the recording medium is the stand-alone-only recording medium, the control unit registers a physical volume of the stand-alone-only recording medium as a logical volume and automatically switches the operation mode of the control apparatus to the stand-alone mode.

摘要： A storage system includes a library apparatus, a storage apparatus, and a control apparatus including a processor. The processor is configured to execute a copy processing of copying data of a plurality of logical volumes from a storage apparatus to a first recording medium. The copy processing includes a read processing of reading first data of a first logical volume from the storage apparatus, and a first write processing of writing the first data to the first recording medium. The processor is configured to execute a second write processing of writing second data of the first logical volume to the storage apparatus. The processor is configured to interrupt the first write processing and execute the second write processing in a case where a conflict occurs between the second write processing and the first write processing, and resume the copy processing from a leading part of the first logical volume.

摘要： A data transfer control device includes a processor. The processor is configured to measure a data transfer performance for each number of destination recording media. The data transfer performance is a performance for copying test data from a first storage device to a second storage device connected to the first storage device through a line. The destination recording media are included in the second storage device and serve as copy destinations of the copying. The processor is configured to determine a first number of destination recording media on basis of the data transfer performance measured for each number of destination recording media. The processor is configured to control a remote copy of copying data from the first storage device to the second storage device. The remote copy is performed by using the first number of destination recording media.
