Abstract: Provided is a plated wire rod having excellent salt water corrosion resistance, solder wettability, thermal peeling resistance, and fatigue resistance. A plated wire rod having a wire rod made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, and a surface treatment coating which is constituted by one or more metal layers and with which the wire rod is coated, the plated wire rod comprising: a mixed layer in a boundary region between the wire rod and the surface treatment coating, the mixed layer containing a metal component of the wire rod, a metal component of the surface treatment coating, and an oxygen component, wherein the one or more metal layers constituting the surface treatment coating includes an innermost metal layer which is located closest to the wire rod among the one or more metal layers, the innermost metal layer being made of copper or a copper alloy.

Abstract: The present invention provides an aluminum alloy material which has high resistance to flexural fatigue and prescribed elongation characteristics; contains, in terms of mass %, 0.20-1.80% Mg, 0.20-2.00% Si, and 0.01-1.50% Fe; and further contains at least one element selected from among Cu, Ag, Zn, Ni, Ti, Co, Au, Mn, Cr, V, Zr, and Sn in a total amount of 0.00-2.00%, with the remainder made up of Al and inevitable impurities. The aluminum alloy material has a fibrous metal structure in which crystal grains extend in one direction. In a section of the aluminum alloy material perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the crystal grains, the average crystal particle size R1 of the crystal grains present at a position D, which is a position at a depth of 1/20 of the thickness of the aluminum alloy material from the surface of the aluminum alloy material, is 400 nm or less, and the ratio of the average crystal particle size R2 of the crystal grains present at a central position in the thickness direction of the aluminum alloy material to the average crystal particle size R1, R2/R1, is 1.8 or higher.

Abstract: Provided is an aluminum alloy material having high strength and excellent wear resistance, which can be a substitute for an iron-based metal material or a copper-based metal material. The aluminum alloy material has an alloy composition containing 0.05-1.80% by mass of Mg, 0.01-2.00% by mass of Si, and 0.01-1.50% by mass of Fe, the remainder comprising Al and unavoidable impurities, wherein the aluminum alloy material has a fibrous microstructure in which crystal grains extend along substantially one direction, the average value of the short-direction dimension L2 perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the crystal grains is 500 nm or less in a cross section parallel to the substantially one direction, and the arithmetic mean roughness Ra of a principal surface of the aluminum alloy material is no greater than 1.000 μm.

Abstract: The present invention provides a movable cable, which has strength that is at least equal to conventional movable cables while having excellent flexural fatigue resistance and flexibility as well as being lightweight. This movable cable 10 has an electric conductor therein. The conductor comprises a first conductor 2 made of a specific aluminum alloy material wherein: the alloy composition contains, in mass %, 0.05-1.8% Mg, 0.01-2.0% Si, 0.01-1.5% Fe, and at least a total of 0.00-2.00° of one element selected from the group consisting of Cu, Ag, Zn, Ni, Co, Au, Mn, Cr, V, Zr, Ti and Sn, the balance being Al and unavoidable impurities; the crystal grains have a fiber-like metal structure in which the crystal grains all extend in one direction; and in a cross-section parallel to the one direction, the average crystal grain dimension perpendicular to the longitudinal direction is 400 nm or less. The ratio X of the area of the first conductor 2 in the whole conductor of the movable cable 10 is in the range of 10-100%.
