    Abstract: A PTC circuit protection device includes a PTC element and two electrodes attached to the PTC element. The PTC element includes a polymer matrix and a particulate conductive filler dispersed in the polymer matrix. The polymer matrix is made from a hetero-phase rheological polymer composition that contains first, second and third polyolefin components, the first, second and third polyolefin components being co-melted together and then solidified to form the polymer matrix. The first polyolefin component has a melt flow rate ranging from 0.1 to 2.5 g/10 min, the second polyolefin component has a melt flow rate ranging from 20 to 30 g/10 min, and the third polyolefin component has a melt flow rate of less than 0.00001 g/10 min measured under a temperature of 190° C. and a load of 2.16 Kg.

    Abstract: A PTC circuit protection device includes a PTC polymer material and two electrodes attached to the PTC polymer material. The PTC polymer material includes a polymer matrix and a particulate conductive filler dispersed in the polymer matrix, the conductive filler including conductive non-carbonaceous particles and conductive carbon particles. The conductive carbon particles have an average particle size ranging from 40 to 100 nm, a DBP oil-absorption ranging from 60 to 120 cc/100 g, and a volatile content ranging from 0.2 to 2.0 wt %. The conductive carbon particles are in an amount ranging from 1 to 14 wt % based on the total weight of the PTC polymer material.

    Abstract: An integrated over-current protection device includes a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) component, a first conductive unit, a second conductive unit, a first conductive via, and a second conductive via. The PTC component includes a first PTC body, and has opposing first and second surfaces.     Abstract: An over-current protection device includes first and second electrodes and a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) multilayered structure disposed between the first and second electrodes. The PTC multilayered structure includes a first polymer layer that is bonded to the first electrode, an intermediate layered unit that is bonded to said first polymer layer and that includes a second polymer layer, a third polymer layer that is bonded to and disposed between the intermediate layered unit and the second electrode. The first, second and third polymer layers respectively have first, second and third volume resistances, the second volume resistance being higher than the first and third volume resistances.

    Abstract: A composite circuit protection device includes a polymer positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) component, a voltage-dependent resistor, a first conductive lead and a second conductive lead. The PPTC component is formed with a hole and includes a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) polymeric layer, and first and second electrode layers respectively disposed on two opposite surfaces of the PTC polymeric layer. The hole is formed in the PTC polymeric layer. The voltage-dependent resistor is connected to the second electrode layer of the PPTC component. The first and second conductive leads are respectively bonded to the first electrode layer of the PPTC component and the voltage-dependent resistor.
