Abstract: Described herein is a composition for use in the prevention or treatment of a viral infection, where the composition includes an extract, wherein the extract: (i) is a botanical extract; (ii) reduces viral infection into a host cell, with an IC50 of 10 ppm or less; and (iii) has a zeta potential of 10 mV or less. Also described herein are consumer goods and methods of using the composition.
