Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for a decentralized distributed ledger that hosts a directory service for customer aliases to facilitate obtaining customer account details. Aspects of the present disclosure may include receiving a request to execute a transaction, wherein the request includes identification information associated with a particular user, transmitting a communication to the database of the existing distributed ledger, wherein the second communication includes a request for an identity of a contributing entity that previously contributed user data associated with the particular user to the database, and wherein the request for the identity of the contributing entity includes an alias associated with the particular user, receiving the identity of the contributing entity, executing a request for account information for the particular user from the contributing entity, wherein the request for account information is transmitted to the contributing entity, receiving account information associated with the particular user, and executing the transaction using the account information.
Abstract:
A merchant point-of-sale terminal may include a local merchant file having a list of preferred AIDs (application identifiers) determined by the merchant and used to select the payment vehicle used to conduct a transaction with a smart card. The list of preferred AIDs may be used in a priority established by the merchant.
Abstract:
A computing system for remotely activating a transaction device including at least one memory having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to receive, from a mobile device, a transaction device identifier, receive, from the transaction device, an authorization request associated with a payment account for a transaction at the transaction device, receive location information from the mobile device and location information from the transaction device in response to receiving the authorization request, compare the location information to determine whether the mobile device is in proximity to the transaction device, and upon determining that the mobile device is in proximity to the transaction device, determine an authorization status of the authorization request, and transmit a signal to activate the transaction device to complete the transaction, wherein the signal is transmitted based on the transaction device identifier.
Abstract:
A method of remotely activating a transaction device includes receiving, at a computing system, a mobile device identifier from a mobile application executed on a mobile device. A selection of the transaction device is received from the application. The selection includes an identifier of the transaction device. A selection of a transaction amount related to purchase of a product is received from the application. An authorization request for a payment account associated with the mobile device is communicated to an issuer of the payment account. The authorization request is for a transaction of at least the transaction amount. An authorization approval for the transaction is received from the issuer and a signal to activate the transaction device to dispense the product is sent based on the identifier. The transaction device is deactivated upon dispensing the transaction amount and a receipt of the transaction is provided to the mobile device.
Abstract:
Embodiments described herein provide methods and systems for making reward point account balances liquid for the customer. In traditional systems, reward points issued to customers in their reward point accounts have limited redemption options. Embodiments discussed herein allow a user to provision their reward point account into a digital wallet. The user can then use the reward points to purchase goods and services using their reward point account as a payment source via the digital wallet. The result is that the reward point account balance becomes a liquid asset for the customer to use to purchase any goods and/or services at any merchant that accepts payments from a digital wallet. Further, due to real-time point conversion at the time of the transaction, the available point balance is always up-to-date for use through any access method available to the user.

The list of preferred AIDs may be used in a priority established by the merchant.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for handling tokens. In one aspect, a token is intercepted by a data processor and a contact is made with a detokenization provider by the data processor. In another aspect, token service is aggregated. In another aspect, tokenization is extended to physical cards, to deter certain kinds of fraud.
