A digital decoder is connectable to this output to generate a second analogue video signal. 摘要： A video apparatus has a connector for receiving a video signal and having at least a first pin carrying a first signal, at least a second pin carrying a second signal and at least a third pin carrying a signal indicative of which of the first signal and the second signal defines the video signal at a given point in time. The first pin and the second pin are coupled to a video circuit able to operate with at least two types of video signal. A detection circuit connected to the third pin determines a characteristic of the video signal based on the indicative signal, and control means responsive to said characteristic sends a control signal whereby the video circuit is forced to operate with one of said types of video signal.

According to the invention, the method includes the steps of: detecting the type of signal source; in case the type of signal source is a non-standard type, detecting the existence of an error state; converting the analog input video signal to a digital video signal; in case an error state exists, replacing an error prone part of the digitized video signal with a substitute signal part; and in case the type of signal source is a standard type or no error state exists, keeping the digitized video signal unchanged.

摘要： The present invention discloses a modular framing system where single frames (1a, 1b) or structures or stacks of frames (1) or structures are arranged in adjacent to one another with their corresponding edges positioned in close proximity to one another. Each frame (1) is being formed from two horizontal and two vertical frame elements (11). A plurality of locks (2, 3) is inter-disposed between the adjacent vertical frame elements (11a, 11b), each with a frame slot (12a, 12b). At least two locks (2) are double-locking type, one inter-disposed between the top sections of the vertical frame elements (11a, 11b) and the other between the bottom sections of the vertical frame elements (11a, 11b). A plurality of locks (3) is single-locking type, which is equi-distantly installed along the length of one vertical frame element (11a) in between the two double locks (2). The double locks (2) lock both adjacent vertical frame elements (11a, 11b). One side of the single locks (3) locks only one vertical frame element (11a) and the other side inserts into the frame slot (12b) of the adjacent vertical frame element (11b). A method of constructing a modular system is also disclosed. At least two double locks and a plurality of single locks are employed to lock two adjacent vertical frame elements. A plurality of single locks is also employed to lock two adjacent horizontal frame elements.

摘要： The present invention reduces fluid splashing by forming viscous fluid from a portion of the lavatory fluid. The viscosity of the fluid within the toilet bowl impedes flow of the fluid which in turn reduces the amount of splashing. The system and method used in this present invention require an additive which when added to fluid, forms viscous fluid for splash retardation. A dissolution agent subsequently reduces the viscosity of the viscous fluid in the toilet bowl to facilitate expulsion therefrom. Therefore, the additive and the dissolution agent are added into a toilet flushing system having a toilet bowl, a cistern which stores and dispenses fluid into the toilet bowl for facilitating waste disposal through a disposal outlet in fluid communication with the toilet bowl. When the additive is dispensed into the toilet bowl and the viscous fluid receives waste, the viscous fluid substantially reduces fluid splashing from the toilet bowl. During subsequent disposal of the waste conveyed by the viscous fluid through the disposal outlet, the dissolution agent prevents clogging of the disposal outlet to thereby reduce the viscosity of the viscous fluid.

摘要： A safety blood collection device including holder housing adapted to maintain a needle cannula with a puncture tip extending from a forward end thereof and to receive a sample collection tube through a rearward end thereof. A retainer coacts with the holder housing to maintain the needle in a first position with the puncture tip of the needle extending from the forward end of the holder housing. The retainer is adapted for activation so as to release the needle from this first position, thereby permitting the needle to move based on the force of gravity and the weight of the needle to a second position in which the puncture tip of the needle cannula is contained within the interior chamber of the holder housing. As such, upright placement of the holder housing upon activation of the retainer will permit the needle to drop within the holder housing, thereby containing the needle cannula therein as a self-contained assembly.
