Diisocyanates and isomeric mixtures of diisocyanates corresponding to the formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, m and n are as defined herein are made by phosgenating diamines corresponding to the formula ##STR2## in which R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, m and n are as defined herein at a temperature of from -20.degree. to 250.degree. C. These diisocyanates are particularly useful as starting materials for the production of polyurethanes by the isocyanate polyaddition process.
