Abstract:
An internal bottom wall of the double hull bears a sump structure comprising a rigid container arranged through the thickness of the bottom wall of the tank and intended to accommodate a suction member of a pump. The rigid container comprises a bottom wall situated at a level further toward the outside than the secondary sealing membrane of the bottom wall of the tank. The sump structure comprises a primary connecting plate surrounding the container, the primary connecting plate having a connecting surface extending parallel to the primary sealing membrane of the bottom wall of the tank, the primary sealing membrane of the bottom wall of the tank being attached in a sealed manner to the connecting surface all around the sump structure.

Abstract:
A tank that has a tank wall having a secondary insulating barrier, a primary insulating barrier, a primary sealed membrane and a secondary sealed membrane, the tank wall having a first area in which the insulating modules include spacers extending in a thickness direction of the tank wall between a cover panel and a bottom panel of said insulating modules, a second area in which a cover panel of the insulating modules is kept at a distance from a bottom panel by a structural insulating foam, a transition area interposed between the first area and the second area, the transition area having a coefficient of thermal contraction and/or a modulus of elasticity in the thickness direction of the tank wall which is between that of the first area and that of the second area.
Abstract:
A bending device for forming a corrugation in a metal sheet, the bending device having a frame, a die having two die elements, each having a concave half-impression, mounted able to slide on the frame; a punch having a head able to engage inside the impression of the die so as to press the metal sheet; and two side clamps mounted sliding and able to move vertically with respect to the lower frame so as to clamp the metal sheet against the bearing surfaces of the die elements. During the displacement of the punch into its bending position, the metal sheet transmits a traction force to the die elements and to the side clamps so as to displace them into their near position.
Abstract:
A sealed insulating tank in which the secondary insulating barrier, the secondary sealing membrane, and the primary insulating barrier essentially consist of a set of prefabricated panels juxtaposed on the supporting structure. Sealing strips are arranged so that they overlap the adjoining edge zones of the leaktight linings of the prefabricated panels in order to complete the secondary sealing membrane between the prefabricated panels. Insulating blocks arranged on the sealing strips have a layer of thermal insulation covered by a rigid board and a reinforcing mat having a stiffness under tension which is greater than or equal to the stiffness under tension of the sealing strips and is glued to the layer of thermal insulation on a face of the layer of thermal insulation opposite the rigid board, the insulating block being each time fixed to the prefabricated panels by gluing the reinforcing mat to the underlying sealing strip.
Abstract:
A sealed and thermally insulating tank having a sealing membrane, a thermal insulation barrier, and a reinforcing piece for reinforcing the sealing membrane against the pressure of the fluid contained in the tank. The thermal insulation barrier has a groove parallel to the longitudinal direction of the corrugation, and the reinforcing piece has a retaining rib engaged in the groove, the retaining rib forming a lug extending in the groove beyond a longitudinal end of the main body in the longitudinal direction of the corrugation. A stop element attached to the thermal insulation barrier stops the reinforcing piece in the longitudinal direction of the corrugation in a first direction and cooperates with the lug to stop the reinforcing piece in a direction moving away from the support surface.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a bending device for forming corrugations in a metal sheet, comprising: a lower frame; an upper frame able to move vertically between a rest position and a bending position; at least two dies, carried by the lower frame; one being fixed with respect to the lower frame and the other mounted with the ability to slide; at least two punches carried by the upper frame; one being fixed and the other being mounted with the ability to slide on the upper frame; the bending device being designed so that, in operation, as the upper frame moves towards its bending position, the metal sheet transmits a pulling force to the sliding punch and to the sliding die which force moves them from a spaced-apart position toward a close-together position.
