Abstract:
An improved system detects an environmental anomaly in a shipping container and initiates a mediation response through a generated layered alert notification. The system includes sensor-based ID nodes associated with packages within the container, and a command node mounted to the container communicating with the ID nodes and an external transceiver on a vehicle transporting the container. The command node is programmed to detect sensor data from the ID nodes; compare the sensor data to package environmental thresholds in context data related to each ID node; detect the environmental anomaly when the comparison indicates an environmental condition for at least one package exceeds its environmental threshold; responsively generate a layered alert notification identifying a mediation recipient and mediation action, and establishing a mediation response priority based upon the comparison; and transmit the layered alert notification to the transceiver unit to initiate a mediation response related to the mediation action.

Abstract:
A module connector for holding and/or transporting of bulk goods for connecting a first container module to a second container module, the container modules being joined together have an aligned container inner surface, a first seal arranged between the first container module and the second container module, a second seal arranged between the first container module and the second container module, the first seal is arranged in a recess and the second seal in a groove, the first seal forming an inner seal and the second seal forming an outer seal, the second seal produces a sealing of the interconnected container modules especially if the first seal fails, the first seal has at least one crimp region, which is crimped by a first and/or second flange surface such that one end face of the first seal is situated flush and/or aligned with the container inner surface without forming a cavity in the area of the end face of the first seal as well as a seal element for the module connector for the sealing of the container.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a method of insulating tanks having a capacity between 200 m3 and 20,000 m3 used for storage of oil and oil products. In the method, foundation elements, including tank bottom heat insulation, are prepared. The tank is mounted on the prepared foundation, then insulation of the tank walls and roof is installed. Supporting relieving skirts are mounted on the tank walls and roof, forming tiers. The tiers are filled with foam glass blocks having expansion joints. A top coat of metal sheets is mounted on the outer surface of the blocks. Foam glass blocks in the lower tier are made to be removable to provide access to a “wall-bottom” corner weld joint, and the blocks of the remaining tiers are fixed to the tank surface and interconnected with an adhesive material.
Abstract:
The cover of a plastic tank suitable for containing water is attached to the tank base by means of alternative joints, including elastically engageable features and lock features to prevent unwanted release. The base of a plastic water tank is comprised of a substrate and a liner and is formed by means which include injection molding into a mold where the core part of the mold is surrounded in part or full by the film which forms the liner.
Abstract:
This specification relates to systems and methods to insulate components of industrial infrastructure, such as tank systems and valve boxes used in association with oil wells. According to some implementations, a system includes a component to contain an outflow associated with industrial infrastructure; a foam arranged to insulate an exterior area associated with the component; a moisture barrier arranged to protect the foam; and a support structure to protect the foam from the weight of the component.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an anchor structure able to actively cope with hull deformation, and to a liquid natural gas storage tank and a production method for a liquid natural gas storage tank comprising the anchor structure. According to one embodiment of the present invention, an anchor structure is provided wherein an anchor structure, for linking a sealing wall and an inner wall of a liquid natural gas storage tank, comprises: an anchor member adapted such that a joining part, which is joined to the sealing wall, can slide horizontally; and a thermally insulating material formed around the anchor member.
Abstract:
A rainwater harvesting roof for a water storage tank has a roof of relatively water-impermeable material substantially covering the tank. The roof has a central support supporting the roof, forming a peak, and the roof further has a substantially circumferential band of relatively water-permeable material located in the roof near the outer edge of the roof. The rainwater harvesting roof preferably also has a circumferential gutter of relatively water impermeable material depending downward from the interior surface of the roof and located beneath the substantially circumferential band of relatively water-permeable material. The circumferential gutter further has slits allowing the passage of water therethrough.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an outdoor tank waterproofing sheet for covering the boundary region between the bottom of an outdoor tank, which is disposed on a base, and said base in a light-tight manner by spanning and adhering from the outdoor tank to the base, the sheet being characterized in being obtained from a single flexible elastomer layer. The present invention provides an outdoor tank waterproofing sheet and outdoor tank waterproofing method effective for preventing the infiltration of rainwater into the boundary region between the bottom of an outdoor tank, particularly a large tank that is often placed mainly at oil refineries, etc., and a base.
Abstract:
A modular lining and insulation system includes a number of horizontal insulation panels and a number of vertical insulation panels each having male tabs and/or corresponding female channels for interconnecting the panels. The modular lining and insulation system can easily be modified to accommodate any size, shape, and dimension of industrial storage container and any number of industrial or similar storage containers.
