    摘要: An alignment device includes a first body and a second body, at least one retention member flexibly coupled to the first body, and a locking member coupled to the first body. The second body has an outer surface and an inner surface defining a cylindrical wall, the cylindrical wall defining a cylindrical opening, a first retention opening extending through the cylindrical wall and a second retention opening extending through the cylindrical wall. The first body translates within the cylindrical opening of the second body and the locking member engages with the first retention opening to position the alignment device in a first position and the locking member engages with the second retention opening to position the alignment device in a second position.

The system further has a plurality of apertures formed in at least one of the components, each aperture having an aperture wall, the plurality of apertures geometrically distributed in coordinated relationship to a geometrical distribution of the plurality of elastic convex walls such that each elastic convex wall is receivable into a respective aperture, wherein when each elastic convex wall is received into its respective aperture an elastic deformation occurs at an interface between the convex wall and the aperture wall, and wherein the elastic deformation is elastically averaged over the plurality of elastic convex walls.

    摘要: A vehicle assembly includes a windshield having a fore edge and a body panel having an aft edge. The body panel includes an arm portion protruding from the aft edge and a tapered portion disposed at an interface between the aft edge and the arm portion. The arm portion has a distal end. The assembly further includes a sealing member with a first channel and a second channel. The fore edge is disposed in the first channel and the arm portion is disposed in the second channel. The second channel is defined by a first sidewall, a second sidewall, and an endwall. A protrusion extends from the second sidewall into the second channel and abuts the tapered portion. A band of material extends between the first sidewall and the second sidewall. The distal end abuts the band of material to secure the body panel between the band and the protrusion.
