摘要: An enhanced imaging system for a motor vehicle includes a vision processing module that generates a data signal, in response to the camera capturing at least one of the video and the image. A graphics processor is configured to tone map the video or image to generate an RGB histogram including an overall tonal range. The processor is further configured to compare the overall tonal range to a tonal threshold. The processor detects one or more objects having a boundary that separates an interior region having an object tonal value from an exterior region having an exterior tonal value. The processor generates an optimized signal for increasing a difference between the object tonal value and the exterior tonal value, in response to the overall tonal range being above the tonal threshold. The system can further include a display device for displaying an optimized video or image.

摘要: A method of forming a self-cleaning film system includes ink jet printing a composition onto a substrate. The composition includes an oleophobic material and a photocatalytic material. The method further includes curing the composition to form a self-cleaning film disposed on the substrate and thereby form the self-cleaning film system. The self-cleaning film includes a first plurality of regions including the photocatalytic material and disposed within the oleophobic material such that each of the first plurality of regions abuts and is surrounded by the oleophobic material.

摘要: A self-cleaning film system includes a substrate and a film. The film includes a monolayer formed from a fluorinated material, and a first plurality of regions disposed within the monolayer and spaced apart from one another such that each of the regions abuts, is surrounded by, and is not covered by the fluorinated material. Each of the regions includes a photocatalytic material. The system also includes a wave guide disposed adjacent the substrate. The wave guide includes a first light source configured for emitting a first portion of electromagnetic radiation towards the film having an ultraviolet wavelength of from 10 nm to 400 nm, and a second light source configured for emitting a second portion of electromagnetic radiation towards the film having an infrared wavelength of from 700 nm to 1 mm. A method of forming a self-cleaning film system configured for reducing a visibility of a contaminant is disclosed.

The film is attached to the substrate such that the tear seam is located between the first and second pluralities. A component includes the display article and an airbag disposed adjacent the substrate and configured for transitioning between a stowed position in which the airbag does not extend through the substrate, and a deployed position in which the airbag extends through the substrate and the film. The first and second portions are separated at the tear seam when the airbag is disposed in the deployed position.

摘要: A self-cleaning film system configured for reducing a visibility of a contaminant includes a substrate and a film. The film includes a monolayer defining a plurality of cavities and formed from a first material having a first surface energy, and a plurality of patches disposed within the plurality of cavities. Each of the patches is formed from a photocatalytic material having a second surface energy that is higher than the first. The film has a touchpoint area having a first use frequency, and a second area having a second use frequency that is less than the first. The patches are present in the touchpoint area in a first concentration and are configured to direct the contaminant towards the second area. The patches are present in the second area in a second concentration that is higher than the first and are configured to reduce the visibility of the contaminant.

摘要: A photocatalytic system having enhanced photo efficiency/photonic efficacy is provided that includes a thin nucleation material coated on a substrate. The nucleation material enhances lattice matching for a subsequently deposited photocatalytic active material. Such a photocatalytic system may be used as a self-cleaning surface in an application where removal of fingerprints and other residue is desired. In certain aspects, the nucleation material comprises aluminum oxide (Al2O3) and the photocatalytic material comprises an anatase phase of titanium dioxide (TiO2) deposited over the nucleation material. A photocatalytic activity of the system is ≥about 50% above a comparative photocatalytic activity where the photocatalytic active material is disposed directly on the substrate. Methods of making such photocatalytic systems are also provided.

摘要: A head-up display system includes a housing, a liquid crystal display disposed within the housing and configured for emitting a first ray of light, and a reflector stack disposed adjacent the liquid crystal display within the housing. The head-up display system also includes a radiative heat sink disposed on the housing and a turn mirror spaced apart from the reflector stack. The turn mirror is configured for directing a first solar ray to the reflector stack such that the first solar ray reflects off the reflector stack to the radiative heat sink as a second solar ray.

摘要: A display assembly includes a display console having an image plane spaced from a touch plane. The touch plane includes at least one touch sensitive area. A controller is operatively connected to the display console, and includes a processor and tangible, non-transitory memory on which is recorded instructions for executing a method of dynamically adjusting at least one touch sensitive area in real-time. The controller may be programmed to determine respective correction shifts to each pixel in the touch sensitive area for multiple viewing positions of one or more users. The display console may be curved. The controller may be programmed to simultaneously a first correction shift to a first touch sensitive area for the viewing position of the first user and a second correction shift to a second touch sensitive area for the viewing position of the second user.
