    Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of energy efficient foam pumps and dispensers are disclosed herein. An exemplary foam dispenser included a housing, a reservoir for holding a foamable liquid, a motor, a motor shaft, and a turbine air pump. The turbine air pump is connected to the motor shaft. A cam is also attached to the motor shaft and is used for driving a liquid pump. Liquid from the liquid pump and air from the turbine air pump are mixed in a mixing chamber and dispensed through an outlet nozzle. The touch-free foam dispenser further includes a sensor for sensing an object, circuitry for receiving a signal from the sensor indicative of an object being present and circuitry for energizing the motor to dispense fluid in the form of a foam.

In particular, liquid can be activated to high concentrations and at high volumes by thinning and mixing the liquid as it is exposed to the plasma, resulting more efficient activation. Further increases in activation can be reached by re-circulating fluid for additional exposure to the plasma. High flow rates can be achieved with integrated systems that utilize multiple activation systems with coordinated control.

    Abstract: An exemplary foam-at-a-distance soap or sanitizer dispenser includes a housing, a container for holding a foamable liquid, and a pump in fluid communication with the container. The pump has a pump chamber air inlet, a pump chamber air inlet valve, a pump chamber air outlet, a pump chamber air outlet valve, a pump chamber liquid inlet, a liquid chamber liquid inlet valve, a pump chamber liquid outlet, and a pump chamber liquid outlet valve. The exemplary dispenser further includes an air conduit extending from the pump chamber air outlet to a remote mixing chamber and a liquid conduit extending from the pump chamber liquid outlet to the remote mixing chamber. The remote mixing chamber is located at a distance from the pump chamber air outlet valve and the pump chamber liquid outlet valve and that distance is greater than about 3 inches. A one-way liquid check valve is located proximate the mixing chamber, one or more mix media located downstream of the mixing chamber and an outlet nozzle located proximate the mixing chamber.

    Abstract: An exemplary foam dispenser includes a housing, a reservoir for holding a foamable liquid, and a pump located below the reservoir. The pump includes a liquid pump chamber, two or more air pump chamber and a manifold. The manifold includes a liquid outlet port, a liquid outlet valve and an air outlet port. An elongated liquid dispensing conduit in fluid communication with the liquid outlet port and an elongated air dispensing conduit in fluid communication with the air outlet port are also included. A mixing chamber having a mixing chamber liquid inlet, a mixing chamber air inlet, and a foam outlet is provided. The mixing chamber is located remotely from the sequentially operated multi-diaphragm pump. The elongated liquid dispensing conduit is in fluid communication with the mixing chamber liquid inlet and the elongated air dispensing conduit is in fluid communication with the mixing chamber air inlet.

    Abstract: Exemplary table-top sanitizer dispensers and dip tube separation members are disclosed herein. An exemplary table-top sanitizer dispenser includes a container. The container has a neck that has an inside diameter. The container having an annular wall extending outward from the base of the neck. The table-top dispenser has pump that has a pump housing. The pump housing has an annular retention member at the bottom of the housing. A nozzle is secured to the pump housing. A closure is also secured to the pump housing. The table-top dispenser further includes a dip tube. The dip tube is secured to the annular retention member. A dip tube separation member extending outward from the dip tub is also included. The dip tube separation member has a biased state and an unbiased state. In the biased state the dip tube separation member has a diameter that is smaller than the inside diameter of the neck. When the separation member moves toward its unbiased state, the separation member is wider than the inside diameter of the neck. When the dip tube is connected to the annular retention member and the separation member is located inside of the container, removing the closure and the pump from the container causes the dip tube to separate from the annular retention member and the dip tube remains in the container.
