摘要: An apparatus for generating a mist is provided. The apparatus has at least one working fluid supply conduit having an inlet in fluid communication with a supply of working fluid and an outlet in fluid communication with a first mixing chamber. The apparatus also includes a plurality of transport fluid passages, each of which has an inlet adapted to receive a supply of transport fluid and an outlet in fluid communication with the mixing chamber. Downstream of the mixing chamber is a nozzle having an inlet in fluid communication with the mixing chamber, an outlet, and a throat portion intermediate the nozzle inlet and outlet. The throat portion of the nozzle has a cross sectional area which is less than that of either the nozzle inlet or the nozzle outlet. The apparatus enhances the atomization of the working fluid to generate the mist.

摘要: A device for producing an aerosol, comprising a liquid line for a liquid flow and a transport gas line for a transport gas flow, comprising at least one injector unit wherein the liquid flow and transport gas flow can be mixed to form an aerosol, also comprising an aerosol line leading to an aerosol discharge arranged in the region of a tool, is known per se. According to the invention, the injector unit comprises flow guiding means for the transport gas flow which define a pressure loss for the transport gas flow, which is lower than the minimum possible pressure loss at the aerosol discharge, by increasing the flow speed and reducing the volume flow. The invention can be used to supply lubricating agents to machine tools.

摘要: An electrostatic spray module for applying agricultural liquids such as a pesticide to crops where, externally to the spray module the number of connections is reduced to three, one for the liquid pesticide, one for compressed air and one for a low voltage signal. Internally to the spray module, the low voltage is converted to a high voltage signal, which is, along with the pesticide and the compressed air delivered to one or more electrostatic spray nozzles using only two electrically conductive pipes, a gas delivery pipe and a liquid delivery pipe. The nozzles fit into the gas delivery pipe and draw the compressed air through gas channel openings in the side of the nozzles. The gas delivery pipe doubles as the means to delivery the high voltage signal to the nozzles. Each nozzle has a liquid feed from the liquid delivery pipe, which carries ground voltage, maintaining the liquid at ground voltage. The grounded liquid merges with the compressed air in the nozzles to form an atomized liquid. The atomized liquid then passes through an electrode, which is electrically charged by the high voltage signal to form an electrostatic spray. The electrical charge in the spray leads to better dispersal of the spray due to the droplets in the spray repelling from each other, and further improves the adherence of the spray to crops which attract the charged droplets.

摘要: A spray element for use with a mold sprayer of the type used to spray a mold prior to or between cycles of a manufacturing operation such as die-casting, drop forging or other operations involving the working of metals. The spray element includes a valve body having an internal elastic pretension. The valve body may be positioned in either an open or closed position in relation to a valve seat. A control pressure is applied, through a separate feed line, to the valve body to open and close the valve by forcing the valve body against or away from the valve seat. The spray element also includes a feed line supplying working air which cooperates with an atomizer attached to a feed line supplying a working medium to the atomizer to atomize the working medium when the valve body is actuated.
