Abstract:
A system and method for generating and providing user interfaces for interacting with a stream of content are disclosed. A system having one or more processors and a memory is configured to perform operations including receiving a stream of content including one or more content items; selecting a content item; determining a tile type for providing the content item based upon an attribute of the content item; populating tile components for the tile type using the content item; organizing content tiles in a dynamic grid using the attribute of the content items; and providing the dynamic grid of content tiles for display.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for self-administering test to verify operation of various components within a hazard detection system are described herein. Users may be able interact with their mobile devices to control and monitor the results of test being administered by the hazard detection system. The mobile device may receive status updates from a central server that receives data from one or more hazard detection systems within a structure. The status information may be displayed on the user's device to inform the user of potential issues that any of his or her hazard detection systems may have.

Abstract:
Systems and techniques are provided for a multi-state press and hold user interface. A state visualization may be displayed on a touchscreen. The state visualization may include a control for a controlled system and an indicator of a state of the controlled system. The indicator may be for an initial state of the controlled system. An indication of an initial touch input to the control may be received. It may be determined that touch input to the control has persisted for a threshold amount of time after the initial touch input to the control. An instruction may be sent to change state to the controlled system. The instruction may be based on the initial state of the controlled system. An updated state of the controlled system may be received. The indicator of the state visualization may be changed to an indicator for the updated state of the controlled system.
