    Abstract: A pump monitoring system associates a current operating state of a pump system including n≥1 pumps with one or more of k≥1 fault scenarios. The pump monitoring system includes an interface module for receiving at least one set of m≥2 operational values from the pump system. The m operational values define a current operational point in an m-dimensional operating space. A processing module processes operational values received by the interface module and consults given or determined model parameters describing a non-faulty model pump characteristic in the m-dimensional operating space and determines a k-dimensional decision vector with k decision vector components indicative of a deviation between an actual differential volume in the m-dimensional operating space based on distances between the m operational values and the non-faulty model pump characteristic, and a modeled differential volume in the m-dimensional operating space for the respective fault scenario.

The control device includes a model formation module designed in each case to produce a model (A) representing pressure loss from the pressure sensor to the position of the respective pressure sensor unit (D), based on several pressure measured values of at least two pressure sensor units (D) for the at least two associated part regions.     Abstract: A control system (15) controls a water supply from at least two separate input lines (3i-k) into a sector (1) of a water supply network. The control system (15) is configured to receive input flow information indicative of the water input flow (qi-k) through each of the input lines (3i-k). The control system (15) is configured to receive input pressure information indicative of the input pressure (pi) in at least one (3i) of the input lines (3i-k). The control system (15) is configured to receive pressure information indicative of at least one pressure value (pcri,m,n) determined by a pressure sensor (7m,n) within the sector (1). The control system (15) is configured to control the input pressure (pi) by controlling at least a pressure regulating system (13i) at an input line (3i) based on the input flow information from all input lines (3i-k) and based on the sector pressure information.
