A hinge structure for a flat visual display device comprising: a pivotal plate connected to the flat visual display device; a fixing plate connected to a supporting portion for supporting the flat visual display device; a rotational shaft inserted to vertical planes of the pivotal plate and the fixing plate, for rotation of the flat visual display device in one degree of freedom; a frictional member which is formed on an outer periphery of the rotational shaft for enclosing the rotational shaft, and whose both ends have a frictional member tightening plane of a planar shape on which a second inserting hole is formed; and a tightening member inserted to the second inserting hole, for tightening the frictional member tightening plane, thereby tightening the rotational shaft by means of the frictional member, and generating strong breaking force accordingly.

Disclosed is a hinge structure comprising: a fixed plate; pivotal plates provided outside both side planes of the fixed plate for relatively pivoting in respect to the fixed plate; a hinge shaft inserted into the fixed plate and the pivotal plates for functioning as a central pivoting shaft and provided in one end with a head portion expanded beyond the diameter of the hinge shaft and in the other end with a coupling portion; a fixing member fitted around the other end of the hinge shaft and laterally movable for adjusting the degree of tightening the hinge shaft; and projected washers each integrally bulged from inner faces of the pivotal plates for forming frictional faces against the fixed plate.

Disclosed is a hinge structure for a flat visual display device. The hinge structure comprises: a fixed plate and pivotal plates respectively fastened to the flat visual display device and a supporting portion for straightening the flat visual display device; rotation shafts with first ends placed in the side of the fixed plate and second ends placed in the side of the pivotal plates, the first or second ends being fixed to allow relative rotational movement between the fixed and pivotal plates; braking members provided around the rotation shafts for applying braking force; and braking housings provided around the braking members and with first fixed ends opposite to the fixed ends of the rotation shaft for applying braking force to faces contacting with the braking members.

a wavelength converted laser apparatus includes a laser oscillator emitting an excitation laser beam having a first wavelength, a harmonic wave generator converting the excitation laser beam into a beam having a second wavelength lower than the first wavelength and an optical parametric oscillator converting and outputting the beam having the second wavelength into a beam having a continuously selectable specific wavelength. The optical parametric oscillator has an OPO crystal, a SHG crystal disposed at an output terminal of the optical parametric oscillator crystal to generate a second harmonic beam and a pair of high reflectivity mirrors for amplifying the beam outputted from the optical parametric oscillator.

The hinge assembly includes a movable plate fixed to a rear side of the display and having a through-hole, a stationary plate coupled to a stand for the display appliance and having a through-hole, a hinge shaft passing through the through-holes of the movable and stationary plates and having a head portion, a coupling member fixed to one end of the hinge shaft, a first washer disposed between the head portion of the hinge shaft and the moveable plate, a second washer disposed between the movable and stationary plates, third washer disposed between the stationary plate and the coupling member and fixed to the coupling member, and an elastic washer disposed between the head portion of the hinge shaft and the coupling member for applying compressive elasticity to the hinge shaft in an axial direction.

The brake actuator unit includes a housing, a master cylinder connected to one end of the housing and provided therein with first and second pistons arranged in parallel to each other, an operating fluid reservoir coupled to an upper portion of the master cylinder to store operating fluid, a simulator accommodated in the master cylinder to provide repulsive force of a pedal, an input shaft moving back and forth according to an operation of the pedal, a control plunger slidably moving back and forth together with the input shaft, first and second output shafts positioned corresponding to first and second pistons to move back and forth together with the control plunger, and a pedal displacement sensor connected to the input shaft.

A wavelength conversion laser apparatus including: a laser light source emitting primary wavelength light; a non-linear optical crystal including: a light waveguide region having a first refractivity, the light waveguide region receiving the primary wavelength light to output as secondary wavelength light; and a clad region adjacent to the light waveguide region, the clad region having a second refractivity lower than the first refractivity, wherein at least the light waveguide region has a periodically domain-inverted structure formed such that a domain-inverted period varies in a direction perpendicular to an incident axis of the primary wavelength light; and a mover moving the non-linear optical crystal to change the domain-inverted period on a path where the primary wavelength light incident on the light waveguide region passes.

A wavelength conversion laser device and a nonlinear optical crystal used in the same. The wavelength conversion laser device includes a laser light source for emitting a predetermined wavelength beam, and a laser medium for exciting the predetermined wavelength beam from the laser light source into a fundamental beam. The wavelength conversion laser device further includes a nonlinear optical crystal composed of a KTiOPO4 (KTP) crystal having b-c crystal plane as an incident surface of the fundamental beam to provide type II phase matching conditions. The KTP crystal converts the fundamental wavelength beam into a second harmonic generation beam.

A power on/off system of a thin projector including an optical system arranged in a housing with a panel shape having lateral sides and a front side having an area larger than an area of each lateral side is disclosed. The power on/off system includes a door, fans which cool a lamp, a shutter which opens/closes a projection lens, a first sensing unit which senses malfunctions of the lamp, the fans, the door, and the shutter, a second sensing unit which senses an internal temperature of the housing, and a controller which sequentially controls, in response to power-on of the thin projector, operations of opening the door and the shutter, driving the fans, driving the lamp, and sequentially controls, in response to power-off of the thin projector, operations of turning off the lamp, driving the fans, turning off the fans, and closing the door and shutter.

There is provided a method of manufacturing an optical waveguide, the method including: allowing a beam to be incident in an optical waveguide direction of an optical waveguide material; generating an optical solution in the optical waveguide material by adjusting intensity of the incident beam according to the optical waveguide material; allowing the incident beam to be re-incident at an intensity higher than an intensity of the incident beam after checking generation of the optical solution in the optical waveguide material; and increasing a refractive index of an optical solution-generating area of the optical waveguide material by the re-incident beam to thereby form an optical waveguide.
