摘要： The present invention provides for a method and apparatus for reducing interference associated with wireless communication in an area having sensitive electronic equipment. A wireless communications device receives, from an access point, a signal having a signal strength above a predetermined threshold. The wireless communications device determines a transmission power level maximum based on the received signal and then transmits a signal to the access point at a transmission power level at or below the transmission power level maximum. The wireless communications device disables the transmission when the signal strength falls below the predetermined threshold.

摘要： Apparatus (10) for treating a waterway having low pH and containing metals such as aluminium in solution, as a result of runoff from acid sulphate soils, is capable of dosing the waterway with a variety of reagents, to bring the metals out of solution and to achieve a neutral pH. The apparatus (10) includes a rotating drum tumbler (14) having a cylindrical drum (52) which, as it rotates causes limestone rock to abrade to produce particles of calcium carbonate with which the waterway may be dosed. The inner surface of the drum (52) is provided with an abrasive surface (68) which contacts rock pieces (74) and transports them within the drum (52) as the drum (52) rotates, and with guide vanes (72) which contact and deflect the rock pieces (74), causing the rock pieces (74) to abrade each other. Other reagents in liquid and/or powder form may also be dispensed.

摘要： An adjustable scaffolding tunnel assembly. The assembly includes a first pair of posts connected on upper and lower portions thereof to a second pair of posts via grooved members. A first cross beam is positioned between the first pair of posts, and a second cross beam is positioned between the second pair of posts. A plurality of support beams is disposed between the first and second cross beams. The first and second pairs of posts are vertically adjustable, and the first and second cross beams and the support beams are laterally adjustable. In this manner, a height and a width of the assembly are individually adjustable. The adjustable scaffolding tunnel assembly can hold one or more isolation members, such as wood or drywall, to isolate an interior of the assembly from an exterior of the assembly.

摘要： An expert behavior-emulation system that assists a operator-controlled-decision system, is managed based on group performance results of operators using the systems. The performance results achieved by an expert group of operators and a non-expert group of operators is evaluated. Both groups are using the operator-controlled-decision system assisted by the expert-behavior emulation system to take action on a situation task to produce the performance results. The performance results of the actions taken are grouped according to expert group and non-expert group. A gap is measured which indicates one or more changes in group performance results as a measure of the extent to which the expert behavior-emulation system is contributing to performance results achieved by operators using the operator-controlled-decision system assisted by the expert-behavior emulation system. The expert behavior-emulation may be adjusted, and the gap may be measured again.
