In the present invention, light of different colors are used to indicate to the user the state of the measured body temperature; thus, the user can learn whether the body temperature is in the health state or in a fever state without watching the display but directly from the color of the emitted light; therefore, the operational convenience is greatly promoted. Further, in the present invention, a light source can be arranged beside the display, and the light source can emit a flickering light or a light of a specific color to illuminate the display to make the user read the measured temperature value easily; besides, the user can learn the state of the body temperature directly from the color of the light.

The present invention discloses a method for calibrating an infrared thermometer, which can obtain a sensitivity of a radiation sensor of an infrared thermometer and a reference resistance of an ambient-temperature sensor of the infrared thermometer. The method of the present invention uses an infrared thermometer to detect two test objects respectively placed in two environments having different ambient temperatures to obtain output signals of the radiation sensor and resistances of the ambient-temperature sensor from the two test objects. Then, the method of the present invention uses the output signals of the radiation sensor and the resistances of the ambient-temperature sensor to work out the sensitivity of the radiation sensor and the reference resistance of the ambient-temperature sensor.

An infrared clinical thermometer circuit device and a memory selection device thereof are proposed, in which the basal body temperature setting function is added to an infrared clinical thermometer so that the clinical thermometer can set an exclusive basal body temperature value for each user as the reference for determining whether he gets a temperature, thereby making the determination more accurate. Moreover, the memory selection device is used to expand the application of the infrared clinical thermometer. The infrared clinical thermometer can be used for several users and thus apply to multi-member families, hence enhancing the convenience of use of the infrared clinical thermometer.

A sensor is disposed at the bottom of the infrared wave-collecting device. A liquid crystal display is disposed on the surface of the main body to display the temperature. A direction detection device is disposed in the main body to detect the horizontal state of the main body so as to control the display direction of the liquid crystal display. A mount is disposed on the main body so that the main body can be supported and adjust the angle of measurement. A direction-switching device is disposed on the main body for manually switching the display direction of the liquid crystal display. Thereby, the infrared thermometer can straightly display the measured temperature for quick reading of the temperature value regardless of standing upright or upside down.

The thermal insulation ring has an outer diameter larger than a width of the temperature sensor, and an air gap is thus formed between the temperature sensor and the inner wall of the sleeve; the top of the thermal insulation ring has an altitude higher than the top of the temperature sensor, and another air gap is thus formed between the temperature sensor and the curved block. Thereby is effectively retarded heat conduction from the external to the temperature sensor.
