摘要: A device and method for storing data is disclosed. A user record is divided up into a plurality of input packets (block 202). The plurality of input packets is encoded into a plurality of output packets (block 204). The output packets are distributed to one or more storage devices (block 206). The user record is reconstructed by retrieving the plurality of output packets from the storage devices (block 1002) and deconstructing output packets into one or more input packets (block 1004). The input packets are evaluated to determine which additional output packets are required to complete the user record (block 1006). The process of retrieving the output packets and deconstructing the output packets into one or more input packets is repeated until the user record is complete (block 1008).

摘要: Date-warehouse systems are populated using an enhanced Extraction-Load-Transform (ETL) process and system by employing three ideas: Out-of-order-fill ETL, relative-ordering index (ROI), and dependent queries. Out-of-order-fill ETL allows a data warehouse to accept the loading of data files in any order, and does not require the loading of any previous backup data files in order to provide some functionality to end users under the view that some functionality or data access is better than none at all. Dependent queries are processes that use defined data structures for use in constructing, extracting, and validating each record to be written in said data-warehouse system in order to ensure that referential integrity is maintained and that no orphaned data is pushed into the data warehouse. Finally, ROI is a process wherein a value is determined, based on the constraints of the source data, which indicates the relative newness of the data.

摘要: Query inefficiencies are improved and entity-interrelational blindness is overcome by employing two ideas: Consolidation Strings and Inter-Node Consolidation. These ideas can be typically employed in law-enforcement records systems (such as COPLINK systems), but is certainly not limited to such an application. Consolidation Strings represent key pieces of information that are in a text/character format, and may be encrypted/hashed. A system's hierarchy of consolidation rules automatically determine if two different rows in a database actually refer to the same real-world object. These rules are NOT statistical or probabilistic in nature, thus enhancing the confidence and reliability in the results. Three general classifications of Consolidation Strings are encompassed: Those based on positive identifiers, those based on demographic information, and those based on associative information that spans multiple-entity types. Inter-Node Consolidation provides a means to facilitate the communication of updated consolidation information between data-source nodes in order to leverage the advantages of Consolidation Strings.

摘要: A multistationed integrated life safety system in which each station will be situated at a diffferent location and have complete capabilities in terms of local fire protection, fire detection, control and/or monitoring and controlling the security of an area. Each station communicates with four adjacent stations so that when an event occurs at one station, that station is programmed to cause that information or that new status to be transmitted to each of the four adjacent stations. Thus, each station will be interconnected or networked to four other stations to provide multiple location control and annunciation so that each station may act independently.

摘要: A system is disclosed for providing a new panel antenna array with enhanced environmental protection, increased reliability and simplified assembly through the incorporation of new array structures. In one embodiment, a panel antenna array system comprises one or more linear arrays having one or more radiating elements for providing antenna transmission and reception; and one or more protection modules to be aligned vertically with each other in a parallel fashion, with each protection module providing protection to one linear array. A mounting bracket further provides a mounting surface to the protection modules.

摘要: A series of interconnected packing chip precursors that can be formed and transported economically to a packager as a flat sheet and then expanded at the site where they will be used into individual packing chips by folding and separation from the other chips. Preferably, the precursors are formed on a chipboard sheet by forming fold lines and lines of separation and by adding securing means, such as bonding media or connecting features to secure the sides of the expanded packing chip in its final shape. The fold lines and lines of separation can be configured to form jagged or serrated edges on the expand-on-site packing chip, and the chip may also include apertures; the jagged and serrated edges and the apertures cooperating with each other and other aspects of adjacent chips to interlock the chips when they are placed around an item in a package for shipment.
