Abstract: Various embodiments of the invention include a system having: at least one computing device at least one computing device configured to monitor a lubrication oil by performing actions including: determining an initial ideal remaining life for the lubrication oil; determining a temperature-based remaining life for the lubrication oil based upon a temperature measurement of the lubrication oil; calculating a contamination factor of the lubrication oil based upon a non-particle count sample of the lubrication oil; determining an updated ideal life remaining for the lubrication oil based upon the contamination factor, the initial ideal remaining life, and the temperature-based remaining life; and determining an actual life remaining for the lubrication oil based upon the updated ideal life remaining and an actual life lost for the lubrication oil.

Abstract: Systems and methods include an actuation system of turbomachinery includes a first actuator configured to control pitch of vanes of the turbomachinery and a first positioner configured to position the first actuator to control the pitch of the vanes. The actuation system also includes a second actuator configured to control the pitch of the vanes of the turbomachinery and a second positioner configured to position the second actuator to control the pitch. The actuation system also includes a controller system communicably coupled to the first and second positioners where the controller system is configured to drive the first positioner in an operation mode based at least in part on a set point. The controller system is also configured to set the second positioner in a diagnostic mode and obtain data from the first positioner and the second positioner where the data indicates operating conditions of the turbomachinery.

Abstract: A vaporization system for a liquid hydrocarbon for a combustion system of a gas turbine system is provided. The vaporization system includes: a vaporizer vessel; a pressure source providing a pressurized fluid to the vaporizer vessel; and a controller configured to control at least one control valve to: pre-elevate a pressure in the vaporizer vessel using the pressurized fluid from the pressure source prior to introduction of the liquid hydrocarbon to the vaporizer vessel to at least reduce vaporization of the liquid hydrocarbon in the vaporizer vessel, and control vaporization of the liquid hydrocarbon in the vaporizer vessel. A combustion system and kettle boiler system including aspects of the vaporization system are also disclosed.
