摘要： The present invention includes a cell cultivating flask and a method for growing cells within the cell cultivating flask which is configured such that a user can directly access the individual trays or cell growing areas within the cell cultivating flask. Basically, the cell cultivating flask includes a cover located on top of an intermediate tray which is located on top of a bottom tray. The intermediate tray and bottom tray each have a bottom plate and side walls that define a cell growth area. And, the cover and intermediate tray each have a neck with an opening formed therein which enables a user to directly add or remove a cell cultivating media to or from each of the cell growth areas in the intermediate tray and the bottom tray. The cell cultivating flask may have more than one intermediate tray.

摘要： A picture display device includes an array of picture frames hinged together, as by an endless belt, in which the inner ends of the frame sections are attached to the endless belt. The frames radiate outwardly from the belt and are arrangeable in a pair of side-by-side packs in which the frames in each pack lie flat against each other, and in which the inner frame sections of one pack abut the inner frame sections of the other pack. A support is provided to hold the packs in side-by-side relation in a manner which permits advancement of and guides the frames from one pack to the next. The frames and the support are arranged so that advancement of a frame from the end of one pack to the beginning of the next pack causes all of the other frames in the array to advance an incremental amount. Means also are provided for biasing each of the frames in each pack flat against each other as well as to bias one of the packs against the other of the packs.

摘要： A Leighton tube assembly designed for the growth of tissue cultures and their preservation comprising a tube, a cover slip and a means to close said tube. The tube, made from two injection molded pieces welded together, has a chamber toward its closed end and a neck towards its open end. The chamber has a wall with a flat portion which is separated from the open end of the tube by a dam located in the neck. The cover slip is molded of a plastic material which is both transparent and inert with respect to most chemical solvents. The cover slip has a culture segment which lies on said flat portion of the chamber wall when the slip is in its growth position and a handle. The handle is of a length which allows the positioning of a cap over the open end of the tube.

摘要： A tissue culture cluster dish, having a lid which may be removably placed on a base having formed in it a plurality of wells for the placement and growth of tissue cultures; the wells having well bottoms which are transparent and flat for easy viewing of the well contents, the well bottoms being elevated above the plane in which the base makes contact with any horizontal planar surface upon which the base is placed; the base having ribbing which extends below and surrounds the well bottoms, the base further having a base rim of sufficient vertical extend for easy grasping and holding; the lid coming in contact with and being supported by the base only through protrusions upwardly extending from the base, thereby assuring atmospheric communication between the well interiors and the outside of the dish; the lid having ridges to prevent transfer of moisture from the area above one well to that above any other well; and the lid fitting on the base only in one orientation.

摘要： The present invention provides a hybridization chamber that contains a built-in mechanism for saturating the air within the chamber when sealed thereby preventing drying of the liquid sample. The hybridization chamber is defined by matching top and bottom clam-shell like halves that, when brought together, are sealed by an o-ring and clamping device. The chamber is equipped with a liquid reservoir, the liquid from which will serve to saturate the volume of air sealed within the hybridization chamber. A saturated atmosphere within the chamber prevents evaporation of the sample.
