摘要： A process for preparing photographic elements comprising a support, a layer containing an acid dye or acid dye precursor and a layer containing a dye mordant composition, said process comprising coating on a support with a substantially aqueous dispersion of a polymer containing units according to the formula: ##SPC1##Wherein A represents units of an addition-polymerizable monomer containing at least 2 ethylenically-unsaturated groups; B represents units of a copolymerizable ethylenically unsaturated monomer; Q is N or P; R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are independently selected from the group consisting of carbocyclic groups and alkyl groups; M.sup.- is an anion and x is from about 0.25 to about 5 mole percent; y is from about 0 to about 90 mole percent and z is from about 10 to about 99 mole percent; and applying a layer containing acid dyes or acid dye precursors. The polymeric mordants are especially useful in diffusion transfer processes.

摘要： A coating composition useful in forming conductive layers comprises a conductive, water-dispersible, particulate polymer and a crosslinkable latex binder. The crosslinkable latex has a first glass transition temperature before crosslinking of substantially less than 50.degree. C. and a second glass transition temperature after crosslinking and coalescing of substantially greater than 50.degree. C. wherein the first and second glass transition temperatures differ by more than 4.degree. C. The coating composition can be coated on a variety of supports to produce conductive elements. The coating compositions are particularly useful in forming photographic elements which are resistant to the buildup of static charge and ferrotyping.

摘要： A photographic element comprising a support, a layer containing an image dye ligand or dye ligand forming material and a layer containing a dye mordant, wherein the mordant layer has associated therewith:(1) a polymer containing groups which form coordination complexes with metal ions; and(2) a source of metal ions.The polymer holds the metal ions in the vicinity of the dye mordant so that the metal ions can metallize the dye or dye forming material at the image receiving layer. These complexes, elements, and receiving elements are particularly useful in diffusion transfer processes. Novel polymers are also described.

摘要： An inkjet receiving medium including a substrate and having a topmost layer coated thereon at solid content of from 0.1 to 25 g/m2, wherein the topmost layer comprises from 30-70 wt % of one or more aqueous soluble salts of multivalent metal cations and at least 0.05 g/m2 of a cross-linked hydrophilic polymer binder. Improved optical density, reduced mottle and improved wet abrasion resistance are provided when the receiver is printed with an aqueous pigment-based ink. In further embodiments, the topmost layer may further comprise a latex dispersion for improved image durability.
