The holding pad includes a top surface having an uppermost contact surface configured to contact and frictionally cling to the item and a bottom surface having a lowermost contact surface configured to contact and cling to the vehicle surface. The top and the bottom surfaces are configured to provide a greater frictional engagement between the lowermost contact surface and the vehicle surface than the uppermost contact surface and the item.

    摘要: A composition containing particular amounts of a poly(arylene ether), a poly(arylene sulfide), an electrically conductive carbon black, and glass fibers is particularly useful for molding heat-resistant articles suitable for electrostatic painting. Compared to a corresponding composition without the poly(arylene ether), the composition exhibits improved paint attraction and markedly improved paint adhesion, and it allows the use of a lower level of conductive carbon black to achieve the same electrical conductivity. The composition thus provides an excellent balance of impact strength, electrical conductivity, and paint attraction and adhesion.

    摘要: An adhesive attachment is provided for securely mounting an attachment component such as a threaded stud or the like on the surface of a selected substrate, wherein the adhesive attachment provides an electrically conductive ground path for grounding the attachment component and/or a selected structure mounted thereto to the substrate. In one preferred form, the attachment component is a threaded element such as a stud or nut. Upon mounting of the attachment component on the substrate and subsequent connection of the threaded element to a mating threaded member, e.g., of the selected structure to be mounted onto the attachment component, a conductive ground pin is pressed into electrical contact with the substrate for grounding the attachment component and/or the selected structure mounted thereto.

    摘要: A film material for use in packaging electrostatically sensitive components and corrosion sensitive components. The film material includes a static dissipative polymer attached to a first moisture barrier which in turn is attached to a second moisture barrier. The second moisture barrier has a low charge retaining coating. The first and second moisture barriers are separated by dielectric. Moisture barriers are formed by either a metal foil, or a metallized polymer in which the metallization thickness is at least 178 Angstroms thick. The metal of the second moisture barrier is in contact with the low charge retaining coating. The low charge retaining coating together with the metal in the second moisture barrier has a surface conductivity between 10−3 and 10−7 Siemens.
