    摘要: This application is directed to a display assistant device that acts as a voice-activated user interface device. The display assistant device includes a base, a screen and a speaker. The base is configured for sitting on a surface. The screen has a rear surface and is supported by the base at the rear surface. A bottom edge of the screen is configured to be held above the surface by a predefined height, and the base is substantially hidden behind the screen from a front view of the display assistant device. The speaker is concealed inside the base and configured to project sound substantially towards the front view of the display assistant device.

    摘要: The present document describes techniques associated with a blind battery connector. The blind battery connector described herein enables a user to blindly engage, safely and securely, a battery connector with a system-side connector. In aspects, the blind battery connector includes polarity-oriented magnets at both the battery connector and the system-side connector to automatically align and engage the battery connector with the system-side connector with correct orientation. The magnets may be embedded or removably assembled to the battery connector and the system-side connector. The blind battery connector controls initial alignment of the battery connector for coupling with the system-side connector and provides additional mechanical strength to the coupling against drop, vibration, and shock. The techniques described herein may decrease battery connection time at factory assembly, increase units per hour, and lower operating costs, while decreasing the likelihood of battery connector damage and/or reverse polarity engagement.

    摘要: In a display assistant device, a display panel assembly has a plurality of first retention elements, and each first retention element is formed on a rear surface of the display panel assembly and adjacent to a respective first edge of the display panel assembly. A back cover is configured to hold the display panel assembly using a plurality of second retention elements. Each second retention element is arranged adjacent to a respective second edge of the back cover. When mated to each other, the first and second retention elements are configured to control an in-plane displacement of each second edge of the back cover in response to an impact of a force on the second edges, thereby limiting an out-of-plane displacement of each second edge of the back cover and protecting the first edges of the display panel assembly from falling apart from the second edges of the back cover.
