    Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and program products for interleaving display ON/OFF periods and camera ON/OFF periods for camera-under-display (CUD) configurations are disclosed. One apparatus includes a display screen including a CUD area, the display screen configured for switching between display ON periods and display OFF periods, and a camera positioned behind the CUD area of the display screen, the camera configured for switching between exposure ON periods and exposure OFF periods. The apparatus further includes a processor and a memory that stores code executable by the processor. The code is executable by the processor to interleave the display ON/OFF periods and the exposure ON/OFF periods such that the CUD area appears to continuously display data and the camera is simultaneously able to capture images. Methods and computer program products that perform the operations and/or functions of the apparatus are also disclosed.

    Abstract: The disclosure concerns a communication device comprising a housing with a front body and a main body. The front body comprises a display unit having a plurality of layers attached to one another. The plurality of layers comprises a suspension layer and a second layer, wherein one of the layers is a display. At two opposing edges of the suspension layer, the suspension layer extends laterally beyond at least the second layer. The suspension layer is suspended by attachment of the two opposing edges to the main body. By extending the suspension layer laterally beyond at least the second layer of the plurality of layers and by attaching the suspension layer to the main body, the entire display unit is efficiently suspended and is movable up and down in a manner efficient for the emission of sound.

    Abstract: A display device includes a head including a display formed on a front surface thereof, a circumference having a pair of long sides and a pair of short sides, and one or more first speakers provided on a left short side and one or more second speakers provided on a right short side of the display and configured to be pivotable between a landscape mode in which the long sides are in a horizontal state and a portrait mode in which the long sides are in a vertical state, a sensor configured to detect pivot of the head, and a processor configured to determine a pivot state indicating whether the head is in the landscape mode or the portrait mode based on a result of detection and switch sound signals output by the first speakers and the second speakers when the pivot state of the head is switched.
