    Abstract: This document describes an image-capturing doorbell device. In aspects, the image-capturing doorbell device provides a compact, space-efficient, battery-powered, doorbell camera. The architecture of the image-capturing doorbell device is optimized by concentrating sensors at one end of the device and user input mechanism(s) at the opposing end of the device and including a thin and narrow middle portion between the two opposing ends. The sensors include an image sensor and a PIR sensor mounted to the same PCB for space conservation. A camera lens protrudes from an outer surface of an IR window aligned with IR LEDs to mitigate IR flare. The PIR sensor is aligned with a lens that enhances radial motion detection by implementing two stacked rows of lenslets. The user input mechanism includes a light ring formed via a two-shot molding technique with a button to bond the light ring to the button for enhanced waterproofing.

    Abstract: In aspects, indoor to outdoor wireless power delivery is described that provides continuous power through a building structure. A transmitter receives an indication of a required continuous power from a receiver, configures one or more settings to generate an electromagnetic field to transfer the required continuous power, and generates the electromagnetic field to transfer the required continuous power to the receiver. In other aspects of indoor to outdoor wireless power delivery, a transmitter and a receiver are aligned to provide continuous power through a building structure. The transmitter and the receiver enter an alignment mode, the transmitter produces an electromagnetic field to inductively transfer power to the receiver, and the receiver senses the electromagnetic field produced by the transmitter and provides an indication of an alignment of the transmitter and the receiver to a user of the system.

    Abstract: This document describes asymmetric camera sensor positioning for enhanced package detection. In aspects, an electronic doorbell has an image sensor that is rotated to a portrait orientation and vertically shifted relative to a lens of a camera, resulting in asymmetric positioning of the image sensor relative to the lens. The lens projects an image circle onto the image sensor and the image sensor has a sensor detection area having upper corners within the image circle and lower corners outside of the image circle to enable capture of an object located in a lower portion of the image circle and proximate to an edge of the image circle. Then, lens distortion correction is performed on a captured image to provide a final image usable to detect the package, which may be located within the image circle but outside of a conventional sensor detection area.
