    摘要: A multi-mode parasitic antenna array having two or more resonant frequencies. The multi-mode parasitic antenna array has at least two resonant modes resulting in substantially divergent radiation patterns, thereby providing the antenna with frequency dependent directivity. The array may be incorporated into a tag for an RFID system. The RFID system includes a reader capable of interrogating the tag at each of the resonant frequencies.

    摘要: A unitary resonator assembly for use in dielectric resonator filters and multiplexers. The unitary resonator assembly comprises a plurality of resonators joined by bridges, where the resonators and bridges are all constructed from a single piece of a dielectric material. The unitary resonator assemblies may be used in conjunction with unitary mounting structures that support a unitary resonator assembly in a filter or multiplexer. Also disclosed are 2-pole, 4-pole, and triplet filters implementing a unitary resonator assembly in conjunction with a unitary mounting structure, and a diplexer implementing a unitary resonator assembly in conjunction with a unitary mounting structure.

    摘要: An embodiment radio frequency MicroElectroMechanical (RF-MEMS) tunable bandpass filter includes one or more tunable resonators, each of which includes an electrically reconfigurable capacitor bank, a tuning screw, and a resonating structure. In an embodiment, the capacitor bank includes fixed value capacitors and switches to vary the capacitance of the resonator. In an embodiment, the capacitor bank includes variable capacitors and direct current (DC) bias circuits to vary the capacitance of the resonator. The filter may be incorporated into a time division duplexing (TDD) base station or other wireless communications device.

    摘要: A three dimensional waveguide is integrated with a MEMS structure to control a signal in various RF components. The components include switches, variable capacitors, filters and phase shifters. A controller controls movement of the MEMS structure to control a signal within the component. A method of construction and a method of operation of the component are described. The switches have high power handling capability and can be operated at high frequencies. By integrating a three dimensional waveguide with a MEMS structure, the components can be small in size with good operating characteristics.
